Shasta Lake Retreat will provide the vacation you have been seeking!

Enjoy the serenity of our family owned "Mini Resort", amid the Shasta
Trinity National Forest in Northern California.

We are walking distance from the lake with easy access to the boat
launch on Salt Creek Inlet. You will drift off to sleep in the
comfort of your cabin to the chirping of crickets and awaken to the
cooing of mourning doves and the distant honking of Canada Geese.
Wildlife abounds, with deer, racoons, otters, fox, rabbit, blue heron,
osprey and even the rare treat of Bald Eagles. The perfect spot for a
romantic getaway or a funfilled family vacation!

The conveniences of home are one exit north in the town of Lakehead,
where you have access to a grocery store, full service marinas, gas
station, restaurants, church and the charming local taverns.

Your agenda will include stargazing from the deck, fishing, boating,
skiing, simply relaxing.
The North State is filled with spectacular natural beauty. Whether you
are adventurous and athletic or simply a lover of nature, a trip to
the cool Caverns, a hike at Castle Crags, or lunch at the Sundial
Bridge over looking the Sacramento River will be a day to
remember.Take a day or two to enjoy some of the surrounding sights and
you will be glad you did.
Prepare to experience some of the best fishing in California. Shasta
Lake, the Sacramento River and the streams and smaller lakes in the
area offer a variety that will be sure to please. If golf is your
game you will be centrally located for your choice of beautiful courses.

If the cook needs a night off you have plenty of great choices from
casual to fine dining. There are many options within a 30 minute drive
north or south through some of the most beautiful scenery you will
find. Some of my personal favorites include Cafe Maddelena, La
Gondola, Pio Loco, Girondas and De Mercurios.
