Vacation Rental Description

This luxurious apartment is the perfect romantic setting for 
honeymooons and second honeymoons.  It is a 26 sqm (280 sq feet) 
beautiful renovated duplex studio located on the ground floor of a 
1900 Hausmann building at 26 Avenue Marceau in the heart of the 8th 
Arrondissement.  A stay in this apartment is one of the prizes being 
given by Eurorail, Air France, and Eurorelais to the winner of the 
famous Tour de France bicycle race.  

Transportation is easy: the nearest metro stop is Alma Marceau where 
you can take the direct train to Chateau du Versailles and also a 
romantic Bateau Mouche cruise along the Seine river at night. 
and there is a taxi stand and a bus stop in front of the door.  A 
local super marché, bakery shops and laundry and tobacco shops are 
just across the street.The apartment building is just around corner 
of the Hotel George V, and near to the Ave. Mongtaine where the 
haute couture shops and famous plaza Athenee. 

Vacation Rental Amenities

For sleeping, the apartment has a double bed in the bedroom section 
on the upper level and a chaise on the ground level in the living 
room. In addition, there is a very comfortable double aerobed 
that is stored if not needed and that automatically self-inflates to 
sleep two people.  The marble-floored bathroom is located on the 
upper level of the apartment next to the bedroom section. The 
kitchen has beautiful granite countertops and a bar, a 
stainless steel microwave, a glass top stove and stainless steel 
refrigerator. 

The living room is very tastefully decorated in “Belle Epoque” 
style. A chandelier matches the black white marble floor, a wrought 
iron staircase leads up to the bedroom, and hand-painted copies of 
famous paintings make you feel that you are still enjoying the Musee 
d’Orsay and the Louvre! 

Wireless Internet is available in the building and the apartment is 
equipped with stereo and TV.  Access to the elegant courtyard will 
allow you to enjoy an oasis in central Paris. Enjoy a petit dejeuner 
sitting at your patio table or on a garden bench in the courtyard.

Activities and Attractions

The apartment on the Avenue Marceau is in the center of the 
exclusive 8th Arrondissement, one of the beautiful neighborhoods 
that branch out from the Place de l’Etoile (now called Place Charles 
de Gaulle) and the center of the French government and major 
embassies. The apartment is located in the “Golden Triangle,” near 
the finest hotels in Paris, famous boutiques and stores and the 
Avenue Montaigne, home to haute couture houses such as Chanel and 
Dior. The Lido and the Crazy Horse, the two most famous cabarets in 
Paris are also in the 8th Arrondissement. The neighborhood has many 
great restaurants, ranging from high-end gastronomic delights to 
excellent, more economical choices. 

The Avenue Marceau apartment is just a few blocks walk from most of 
the major sites in Paris, such as the Champs Elysee  (The Most 
Beautiful Avenue in the World), the Arc de Triomphe (in the Place 
Charles de Gaulle), erected in honor of the Napoleonic armies, the 
Eiffel Tower, the Place de la Concorde, the Tuileries gardens, the 
Louvre and the Musee d’Orsay. The apartment is also near the 
beautiful gardens that line the quiet area of the Champs Elysee 
and it is near the Parc Monceau, an area of green tranquility 
in the heart of Paris.

Vacation Rental Rates

€650/week (about $898/week), €1950/month (about $2,690/month) all 
year 
for two people.

€10/night/person for each person additional to two.

A deposit of €150 or $190 will hold the apartment and is deducted 
from the rental fee.  Guests give a key and damages deposit of €150 
or $190 to the caretaker on arrival.  It is returned upon 
departure if the property is left in good order.

There is a one-time cleaning fee of €50 euros or about $69, but 
please pay it in euros so the caretaker can use it.
