Vacation Rental Description

Tortuga Sunrise is a beach vacation dream house for the entire family!
This spectacular home has 6 BR, 5.5 baths with beds/furniture
accommodating 16-17 persons. You will enjoy the
gorgeous ocean and lighthouse views from this spacious (3700 sq. ft.)
and tastefully furnished house. Every amenity has been thoughtfully
provided for your vacation pleasure and comfort, including an elevator
for access to 3 levels.  The Great Room with entertainment center (32"
TV/DVD/VCR/CD/Stereo), wet bar and the fully-equipped (cook's dream)
kitchen and dining room are specifically set for large family/friends
gatherings.  The house is handicapped accessible with garage, elevator
and a MBR/private bath with 3' doors for wheelchair access. 
Professionals may appreciate the high-speed Internet and other office
amenities to conduct unavoidable business while away from home.  The
screened porch (top level) is great for any meal or a cool drink while
watching the sunset or fireworks (July 4th) and listening to the ocean
sound/breeze. The two levels of extensive decking (one open, one
covered) with table, deck furniture/swing provides plenty of
opportunity for relaxing, reading, and sunbathing while enjoying the
ocean views and breeze. Each BR on the top/mid levels is well lit, has
TV, ocean views and sliding glass doors to the deck. You will enjoy
the 14'x28' private heated pool w/adjacent hot tub and outdoor
enclosed shower, with direct access to a large recreational room. The
recreation room has entertainment center/game amenities, ping-pong,
foosball, and game tables, and refrig/freezer. The poolside picnic
table & BBQ grill and nonbreakable ware are provided for outdoor
gatherings. Tortuga Sunrise is a wonderful place for a relaxing and

Activities and Attractions

The house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac with easy and close access
to the beautiful beaches (I.e., wal to beach, ~ 300 yd) and a lake. 
You can take a moderate walk or leisurely bike ride (~ 0.3 mile) to
the nearby County Wildlife Museum, Currituck Lighthouse and the
Whalehead Club & Currituck County Park for a picnic, crabbing,
canoeing or kayaking where you can find green space and sunset views
on the sound. A free boat ramp is available at the county park. The
community offers an oceanfront pool (walking down to beach), a
lakeside pool, health club facility (for a small fee), tennis courts,
playgoundand close-by public nature trails and wildlife preserve (for
wildhorses and others). Other activities and attractions include
fishing trips, hang-gliding, para-sailing, wind-surfing, golfing, jet
skiing, biking, shopping (unique gift shops and farmers market),
dining,visiting the Outer Banks' outlet Mall, Wright's Brothers
Museum, historical Roanoke Island, and other lighthouses (Hatteras).
