feet)straight through to the beach.
It's also close to shops and restaurants and many other Outer Banks
attractions.

activities to enjoy in addition to the beautiful beaches:

*Kayak,canoe,windsurfer and jet ski rentals
*Hang-gliding or kite flying at Jockey's Ridge
*Surfing
*Jockey's Ridge National Park - where Wilbur and Orville Wright took
the first flight- features a flight museum and one of the highest
sand dunes on the East Coast. Enjoy a sunset there!
*Roanoke Island is about 12 miles to the south across the Sound. The
town of Manteo has a great aquarium and wonderful little art
galleries, shops and cafes as well as the gorgeous Elizabethan
Gardens. In the summer there are nightly performances of "The Lost
Colony" about the ill-fated first British settlement in the new world
*Fine dining or casual local spots close by
*Bike rental shop two blocks from cottage - get info on parks and
trails
*Ferry trip to Ocracoke. Hour's drive to the dock in Hatteras and
then 45 minute ride across. Ferries are free and run frequently in
summer. Take a bike and explore the Island.

fishing, camping, surfing, boating

vacation rental rates
This is a Sunday to Sunday rental during the season. Partial weeks
or long weekends can be negotiated at other times of the year. All
taxes and fees are included in the price below. The only addition is
a $200 security deposit that is fully refundable upon satisfactory
inspection and key return.
