Wonderful place to stay

We have taken our children to southern California now for twenty years and have spent a great deal of time in San Diego. In particular we have spent many weeks in Mission Beach. This year's trip was a little different in that our daughter is now married and has a child of her own. They were able to joing us at the Whale House Bungalow and it will be a trip we will never forget. Cheri has done an excellent job in providing a warm and inviting home. One area that we were most impressed with was the amenities that she provided for the beach ie. umbrellas, boogie boards, beach towels, wagon. It was all provided for us and everything was in excellent condition. We really weren't sure what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised. It was also very nice to have on the premises a washer and dryer. We loved having the two car garage. If you've ever been to mission beach you will know that parking is hard to come by. We also loved the close proximity of both the ocean side and bay side being just a few steps away. Brighton court was nice and for the most part quiet. It was very much a family atmosphere much unlike other places that we have stayed at on Mission Beach. We are already looking forward to returning next year to the Whale House Bungalow. Thank you Cheri for your wonderful and caring hospitality.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Owners response: In our fast paced world, the all too little time that families have to play together has become even more precious. To receive this gift of time and kindness from such an incredibly busy and special family is like receiving a perfectly wrapped package with just what you wanted inside! I am deeply grateful for caring guests who respect and appreciate the amenities and spirit of Whale House.

...Not Only Beautiful But Peaceful...

Thank you so much for opening your lovely home to our family! We enjoyed every minute of our time here. I can't tell you how much we needed this time together as a family and Whale House was perfect and not only beautiful but peaceful as well. All the time and attention to detail for your guests was noticed and I can tell you sincerely - we felt right at home.

Again thank you for your incredible hospitality and we will love to visit again!!! : )
