Also known as "Serenity on the Bluff", this home received it's name, because it is located in an area of Yates County, known as Bluff Point. Bluff Point is the peninsula what separates the East and West branches of Keuka Lake. Long ago the shores of Keuka Lake were surrounded with vineyards and dotted with steamboat landings to ferry people and agricultural products to the three towns on Keuka Lake. Over time the vineyards were abandoned and were gradually replaced with camp sites, seasonal cottages and year round homes.
"Serenity on the Bluff" is a spectacular home for your next vacation, family reunion, or corporate retreat. This home was built in 1999 and has approximately 4000 square feet of living space, including six bedrooms, four full baths, a large living room, dining and kitchen area, recreation/game room, and a huge partially covered deck.
The main floor has a open floor plan, that includes the living room (with a wood burning fireplace), kitchen and dinning area. Also on the main floor are three bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. Two of the bedrooms face the lake. The third is at the rear of the house and has its own private full bath with a shower. Off the main floor hallway is another full bath with a tub/shower. Adjacent to the dining area is a huge partially-covered deck. The deck is furnished with tables, chairs, a bar, bar stools, charcoal grills, childrens play houses and the jetted hot tub. Around the deck is a railing with fence with latchable gates. The deck overlooks Keuka Lake and is a fantastic place for dining, relaxing, and enjoying the breath-taking Keuka Lake sunsets.
The upper floor has two huge bedrooms and a full bath with a tub/shower. The master bedroom has a king size bed, a day bed with a trundle and a private covered porch overlooking Keuka Lake. The second bedroom also has a king-size bed and a day bed with a trundle. The second bedroom has windows that also overlooks Keuka Lake.
The lower level has another master bedroom, a semi-private full bath with a shower, laundry room, and a recreation/game room. The master bedroom has a king size bed, a propane fireplace and a sliding glass door that faces the Keuka Lake. The recreation/game room has two day beds and trundles, a childrens' play kitchen, childrens' video and book library, games, puzzles, toys, foos ball/table soccer and a full sized video arcade game "Road Blasters" and coming soon "Dig Dug". In addition, the recreation/game room has a large picture window that overlooks Keuka Lake.
The home is surrounded by woods on three sides. Adjacent to the deck is a fire ring surrounded by benches. The fire ring is a fantastic place to spend a romantic evening or to gather with family and friends and roast marshmallows under the stars.
The parking area is at the end of a long semi-private driveway. There is parking for at least nine cars and is located within 20 feet of the home.
Access to the lake is located in front of the home, via a path and stairway with 128 steps with four landings that weave around whisper pines and culminating on the 40 plus foot long dock. The shoreline was 450 feet of natural shore line, with a dock, swim raft, and a mouring bouy. From the shoreline the water has a very gradual increase in depth as one walks into the lake. The lake bottom is hard and consist of shale, stones and rocks of various sizes.
