Also known as "Serenity on the Bluff", this home received it's name, because it is located in an area of Yates County, known as Bluff Point. Bluff Point is the peninsula what separates the East and West branches of Keuka Lake. Long ago the shores of Keuka Lake were surrounded with vineyards and dotted with steamboat landings to ferry people and agricultural products to the three towns on Keuka Lake Penn Yan, Branchport and Hommondsport. Over time the vineyards were abandoned and were gradually replaced with camp sites, seasonal cottages and year round homes.

This home has approximately 4000 square feet of living space, including six bedrooms, four full baths, a large living room, dining and kitchen area, recreation/game room, and a huge partially covered deck.

The main floor has a open floor plan, that includes the living room (with a wood burning fireplace), kitchen and dinning area. Also on the main floor are three bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. Two of the bedrooms face the lake. The third is at the rear of the house and has its own private full bath with a shower. Off the main floor hallway is another full bath with a tub/shower. Adjacent to the dining area is a huge partially-covered deck. The deck is furnished with tables, chairs, a bar, bar stools, charcoal grills and a six burner propane grill with an extra propane tanks, childrens play houses and ArticSpas 6-8 person jetted hot tub. Around the deck is a railing with fence with latchable gates. The deck overlooks Keuka Lake and is a fantastic place for dining, relaxing, and enjoying the breath-taking Keuka Lake sunsets.

The upper floor has two huge bedrooms and a full bath with a tub/shower. The master bedroom has a king size bed, a day bed with a trundle and a private covered porch overlooking Keuka Lake. The second bedroom also has a king-size bed and a day bed with a trundle. The second bedroom has windows that also overlooks Keuka Lake.

The lower level has another master bedroom, a semi-private full bath with a shower, laundry room, and a recreation/game room. The master bedroom has a king size bed, a propane fireplace and a sliding glass door that faces the Keuka Lake. The recreation/game room has two day beds and trundles, a childrens' play kitchen, childrens' video and book library, games, puzzles, toys, foos ball/table soccer and a full sized video arcade game "Road Blasters" and coming soon "Dig Dug". In addition, the recreation/game room has a large picture window that overlooks Keuka Lake.

The home is surrounded by woods on three sides. Adjacent to the deck is a fire ring surrounded by benches. The fire ring is a fantastic place to spend a romantic evening or to gather with family and friends and roast marshmallows under the stars.

The parking area is at the end of a long private driveway. There is parking for at least nine cars and is located within 20 feet of the home.

Access to the lake is located in front of the home, via a path and stairway with 128 stair steps with four landings that weave around whisper pines and culminating on the 40 plus foot long dock. The shoreline was 450 feet of natural shore line, with a dock and swim raft. From the shoreline the water has a very gradual increase in depth as one walks into the lake. The lake bottom is hard and consist of shale, stones and rocks of various sizes.

Annual Wine Trip

Review submitted: November 11, 2011   Date of arrival: October 27, 2011

Our group does an annual wine trip to the Finger Lakes, in October 2011 we rent this house and it was perfect! We planned for 15 in atendance but ended up with 13, mostly couples. This property has a great number of bedrooms and living space for privacy. Plus a great person to bathroom ratio!! Other things we noticed having rented on all the lakes; there was ample seating, serving ware, utensils, pots and pans! it was great! there were also items in teh kitchen we didn't expect but loved having, like a crock pot! the location is goregous and even in the chillier fall weather we were toasty in this house! this property is definitely is on our return list!

Recommended for: families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing

Wedding Party

Review submitted: July 25, 2011   Date of arrival: June 22, 2011

Thank you for sharing your property for our wedding weekend. We were married June 25, 2011 at Keuka College. Our entire wedding party (15 adults and a few kids) spent a comfortable extended weekend at Serenity on the Bluff. This property was perfect for our needs and has everything you would need to host a large group of people. The house is clean and well kept. Most of our friends were traveling from out of state and this was the most reasonable option for everyone to be able to stay in the same place. We were able to host a small rehearsal dinner on the deck. My husband was able to rent a boat & dock it overnight. He spent the day on the lake with his groomsmen while my bridesmaids & I enjoyed a wine tour. We enjoyed making smores by the firepit in the evenings, and on rainy days the kids were entertained in the playroom. The beautiful drive to town & the college was about 15-20min. Our friends were absolutely blown away by the views & sunsets. We would absolutely stay here again & look forward to making vacation plans here in the future! Our friends traveled as far as New Mexico and before everyone left were were all in agreement that we would need to come back for an 'anniversary wedding weekend reunion.' We can't thank you enough for sharing this amazing property. Thank you, Thank you, THANK YOU!
