GREAT POOL!!!

My family which includes 2 adults and 4 kids + a dog with my sister and her kids.

Over the past 15 years of renting we are willing to paid more to stay at CLEAN newer homes.

My sister and her family took the first floor and my family took the second floor. Having two separate kitchen areas is always a must for us.

Katydid has an awesome swimming pool. It was very large so the entire family was able to enjoy the pool at the same time which made our vacation very pleasant.

We were across the street from the beach with beach access, very nice and convenient.

The porch was nice to sit on with the rocking chairs with a nice view of the ocean.

The wood stairs on the outside of the house leading to the second floor has enclosed risers of the steps which were sticking out a little from the step which caused many of us to scrape the back of our heels while walking down the steps.

The front and back doors on the second floors stuck horribly so we had to push/pull the doors really hard to open/close them; some of the kids could were not able to do this.

It took us a while to find the apartment size stackable washer /dryer in the second floor bedroom closet which proved to be an issue to use when the kids were sleeping. For us a full size washer and dryer is a must as we pack light; so washing is a must. The small size of the unit and the placement on the second floor bedroom closet was a huge inconvenience.

The house was what I like to call clean enough to use the furniture; this is a plus.

The pool table and electronic games were great; the kids had the best time. The pool sticks were badly worn though, so it was hard to play well. Because of the games on the first floor there was no real living room area on the first floor. My sister and her kids are not the type to sit and watch TV so not having a living room area on the first floor was no big deal to her. The second floor had a very nice living room area with two couches.

There was a bedroom on the second floor that was divided down the middle with a wall to create two bedrooms. It worked for us because that’s where the kids slept but it was very small and that’s where the washer dryer unit was.

In the master bedroom on the second floor which I slept, had a bed that was badly worn with a mound in the middle and the sides were concaved in.

If they fixed the doors and got a new bed for the master bedroom, we could deal with the small washer/dryer unit. We loved the pool! I would say yes.

Recommended for: families with young children, pet-friendly
