Vacation Rental Description

  This newly built deltec home sits in the heart of the North 
Carolina high country.  Just a few hundred yards off the Blue Ridge 
Parkway, it is both very private and yet very conveniently located 
to access west North Carolina's most popular attractions.  Wheather 
you want a quiet place to spend a relaxing mountain vacation, or a 
home base from which to do day trips to access our many attractions, 
this is your perfect place.  The perfect place for your vacation 
getaway, family reunion, or home base.  Stay in the roundhouse for a 
third of the cost of the ski resorts and drive less than an hour to 
your choice of half a dozen of north carolina's finest slopes, or 
ski them all. 

Vacation Rental Amenities

  This beautifully finished home was completed in June 06 and has 
hardwood floors, custom woodwork, and all new appliances.  The 
unique " round " design is not at all ordinary is right at home in 
the mountains.
  Two bedrooms with queen beds and a pull out couch provide sleeping 
for up to 6 people.  All linens, towels and supplies are furnished.  
At 3100 ft elevation, the cool night temperatures and the quiet 
location make for some great sleeping.
  The kitchen is fully furnished with new appliances including a 
dishwasher.  It also has many small appliances ( coffee pot, 
microwave, toaster, crock pot, etc. ) and pots and pans, dishes and 
everything needed to cook in when you wish. There is also a gas 
grill and outside eating area where you can take advantage of our 
great weather.
  A deck completely encircles the house and is accessable from every 
room.  A short walk takes you to a hot springs brand spa surrounded 
by rhododendron and mountain laurel.  The area has many hiking 
trails, waterfalls and beautiful vistas for your enjoyment.
  There is a washer and dryer as well as iron and ironing board if 
you need it.  Cable tv is furnished and a dvd and vcr.  We have an 
extensive collection of dvd's vcr tapes, books and games at your 
disposal for rainy or relaxing days.
  Owner managers are just up the road and can immediately address 
any problems or questions.  This is a nonsmoking home.  Pets may be 
allowed with prior approval.  Cable and wireless internet provided.
     

Activities and Attractions

  The little switzerland area, with it's beautiful views and 
historical significance, has long been a destination for those who 
want to get away from the heat of summer and the everyday rat race 
and enjoy a quieter more peaceful time. The blue Ridge Parkway, the 
country's most scenic byway is just a few hundred yards away and 
runs from Cherokee, NC all the way to upper Virginia.  It has some 
of the most fantastic views in the eastern US.
  A short drive from the round house will get you to many popular 
attractions such as:
    The Appalation Trail.
    Grandfather Mountain.
    Blowing Rock.
    Linville Falls and Caverns.
    Mount Mitchell.
    The Orchard at Altapas.
    Roan Mountain rhododrendon gardens.
    Tweetsie Railroad.
    Biltmore Mansion.

    The Penland School of Crafts.
    Folk Art center.
    Parkway Playhouse.

Vacation Rental Rates

 Mon thru Thurs $125 per nite.
 Fri thru sun $150 per nite. 
 Rates are for up to 4 persons additional persons are $10 per day 
each.
 Weekly rate is $650 for up to 4 people.
 WE also have discounts for longer stays.
 We do not charge cleaning fees, but do have a 2 nite minimum.
 check in is after 2 pm and check out by 10 am unless prior 
arrangements are made.
  leaf season and holidays book early,  so don't wait too long.  why 
pay $1500 to $2000 FOR A WEEK IN A SKI RESORT, WHEN YOU CAN STAY 
WITH US FOR $650 A WEEK AND BE 45 TO 60 MINUTES FROM HALF A DOZEN 
SKI AREAS.
  We are not always near the computer, and since we are pretty busy, 
may not be for a day or two.  We are however always available by 
phone, which is the best way to get answers or make reservations.
