Vacation Rental Description

Your Neighbour is the Lake ! 
Deluxe Waterfront Log Chalets in a First Class Location, appr. 24 ft.  
from the waters edge ! Canada Select 4 Stars Rated. 
The chalets are part of the Kootenay Lake Lodge & Resort, a Summer  
destination resort, owned and operated by the Sedlmeir family. 
 
The chalets are built from handpeeled, large diameter Tamarack logs. 
 
Both houses are built identically, with about 100 m2 (1000sft) of  
living area, and comfortably sleep up to 8 persons. 
 
In addition, covered decks on three sides, 2 balconies(west and east  
facing), wooden windows, solid wooden doors and wood flooring add to  
the charm of these buildings. Chalet I has all interior frame walls  
finished with cedar and fir panelling. 
Both chalets are equipped with airtight wood stoves in addition to  
electrical baseboard heat. 
Decks, balconies and lawn area are equipped with benches, folding  
chairs, loungers, picnic tables, fire pits and GasBBQ. Campfire wood  
available.  
 
Downstairs is a 12 m2 (120sft) fully equipped kitchen with  
dishwasher, full-size fridge with freezer compartment, full-size  
electrical range, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, washer/dryer  
and all cook and servingware, one can wish for. 
 
Bathroom with 5 ft. bathtub/shower combination and hair dryer. 
All linens, bedding and towels are provided - just bring your own  
beach towels. 
The chalets come equipped with a starter pack of coffee, laundry  
powder, soap, shampoo and dishwasher detergent. 
 
The comfortable living room provides leather sofas, easy chairs and  
dining table with 6 chairs, Star-Choice Sat-TV and a restricted phone  
(please bring a pre-paid telephone card with you). 
 
Upstairs in the front bedroom with access to a spacious, lakefacing  
and covered balcony, you will find a king-size and two single beds,  
TV with DVDplayer. 
The eastfacing bedroom is equipped with a French balcony and a queen- 
size and two single beds. 
 
View the lake with its different moods and the impressive Selkirk  
Mountain Range from the westfacing balconies or decks. 
Sit by the nightly bonfire and enjoy a good bottle of wine, watch the  
starlit sky. 
Relax at the sandy/gravely beach, take out the canoes, kayaks or the  
motor boat and explore the hundreds of tiny beaches, this large  
natural lake has to offer. 
Kootenay Lake is 144 km long and the water has drinking water quality. 
During the month of June you may observe our nesting ospreys right  
from your balcony.

Vacation Rental Rates

From Canada $ 199 - 269 per night/dbl.occupancy - additional adults  
are Can $ 20 p.n. - children 12 years of age and under are Can $ 10  
p.n. - toddlers are free. 
A three nights minimum rental is required.
