Come home to Mount Dora. Located within the historic district is this beautiful, completely
renovated 1,800-sf, 1922 cottage with new plumbing, electric, A/C, glistening heart pine floors,
bathroom, and expanded kitchen.
Cool pastel colors shade each room, French doors open to refreshing breezes, large rooms, clean and
crisp mid-century décor, a corner lot… it’s all here to provide a comforting retreat for creativity
and relaxation.
The open living room adjoins a large entertainment room, furnished with two large sofas, cable
television, and DVD/VCR. In the dining room, a vintage Lucite table and six plexiglass chairs add a
touch of elegance while on the other side of the room, a 1950s-era blue glass electric fireplace is
a quirky accent piece.
In the guest room are two twin beds, while the adjacent master bedroom features a large and quite
comfortable king bed. Next to the master bedroom, a Florida Room has been converted into a cozy home
office.
Completely remodeled, the bathroom now includes reproductions of 1920s bath fixtures as well as a
luxurious six-foot jetted tub. Likewise, the kitchen has been completely renovated and now features
a combination gas/electric oven, mounted microwave, new refrigerator, dishwasher, twin sink, new
cabinets, and Cuisinart coffee maker.
The front porch is a perfect place to stop and watch the world go by. With the shopping village only
five tree-lined blocks away, a short stroll puts you in the heart of one of Florida’s most charming
downtowns. In town, you’ll find shops and boutiques and sidewalk cafes, and have the chance to
embark on an antique train ride, trolley tours, horse & carriage ride, and a Lake Dora sunset
cruise. A mile away, Renninger’s Twin Markets is a fantastic destination for flea market finds and
wonderful antiques and collectibles; supermarket shopping is five minutes away, and numerous
quality golf courses surround the area.
Mount Dora is located 45 minutes from Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, and SeaWorld; one hour
from Daytona Beach; and 90 minutes from St. Augustine, Tampa, and the Kennedy Space Center. Natural
springs – Alexander, Wekiva, and Blue Springs – are approximately 30-40 minutes away.
Mount Dora is one of the nicest small towns in Florida – and this lovely cottage is one of the
nicest homes in Mount Dora.
