A Summer Cottage - Humarock Beach in Scituate

This cottage is located on a quiet side street - away from the bustle yet close to all that Humarock has to offer.   A short 3-4 minute walk and you are at that the beach, South River and Humarock's center.  This is a one level house with 5 rooms which includes 2 bedrooms (one with a sleep loft), den, living room and kitchen.  It sleeps 5-7 and features the following:

• Bedrooms: 
  Bedroom 1 -  queen-size bed,
  Bedroom 2 -  bunk bed and a twin bed plus a sleep loft w/queen-size air mattress & skylight
• Den:
  Full-size pullout couch and cable TV w/DVD player
• Living room:
  Gas fireplace, cathedral ceiling w/skylight and a cable TV w/DVDplayer
• Kitchen:
  Includes a gas range, microwave and a refrigerator w/icemaker
• Bathroom:
  Full-size washer & dryer and a shower w/removable showerhead 

Outside Features:

• Sunny deck with gas grill 
• Front porch
• Enclosed outdoor shower (hot/cold)
• Shed with "hangout" area that is equipped w/couch, table & chairs
• Parking for 3-4 cars
• Private beach access off Dartmouth St. or Webster St.

Additional features:

• Cable TV and local phone service provided
• Ceiling fans and/or floor fans in each room and an AC unit in the den
• Sheets and bath towels are provided
• Beach chairs, umbrella and a cooler are also provided

Humarock is a quiet seaside community in the town of Scituate, MA that lies between the Atlantic Ocean and South River. It offers miles of sand and ocean for walking, swimming, boating, fishing or just plain relaxing.  It is located close to Boston and Plymouth for those interested in a day of sight seeing and history.
 
Humarock's village area offers a marina and several shops and restaurants which includes a fresh fish market, coffee shop and breakfast restaurant, river front dining with an outside deck, ice cream counter, gift/souvenir shop and a convenience store.

Nearby:

• Route 3: which takes you south to Cape Cod and the Islands or north to Boston,
• Greenbush Rail Line: travels from Scituate into Boston,
• Scituate Harbor: with it's many shops, restaurants and marina,
• Ferries: can be picked up in nearby Hingham for a trip to Boston; additional cruises for Cape Cod and whale watching can be picked up in Pymouth.

Area Events:

• July -
  July 4th - Humarock celebrates it on the evening of the 3rd with bonfires on the beach.  
• August -
  Scituate Heritage Days are in early August and the Annual Marshfield Fair is the end part of August.   
• September -
  Labor Day Weekend - Humarock's has it's own parade called The Horribles Parade.  A fun ending to the summer for the children.
