The Cabin @ The Hide-A-Way in Little Switzerland

Located at 3500 feet, just over the crest from the Blue Ridge
Parkway and only 1/2 mile north of The Little Switzerland Inn and
tThe Chalet Restaurant, you'll find the Cabin @ The Hide-A-Way and
one of the most serene, awe-inspiring views available in the Blue
Ridge Mountains.

The Cabin @ The Hide-A-Way was built in the early 1960's to provide
protected parking and additional facilities for the comfort of
guests at The Hide-A-Way.

The Cabin @ The Hide-A-Way was carefully designed to provide a
comfortable, private retreat up in the mountains - yet conveniently
located close to great restaurants, entertainment attractions, ski
slopes and historic attractions, some of the most scenic overlooks
on the east coast - and within 10 minutes of shopping, fine dining,
a super Wal-Mart and even a hospital.

The Cabin @ The Hide-Away features sleeping accommodations for
four, one bedroom with a queen-size bed and an available queen-size
sleeper sofa. The Cabin is designed with a large great room
extending the length of the building and includes a dining area,
Direct-TV with VCR and DVD player and telephone service (featuring
unlimited domestic long distance calling), a completely equipped
kitchen including a microwave , dishwasher and many small
appliances. The unique design includes a large covered wrap-around
porch with old-style rockers cantilevered out over the paved parking
area and features a "spectacular" view. Spacious picture windows
provide a panoramic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Cabin's
garage houses both a washer and dryer and a large portable gas
grill. Dishes, linen, pillows, towels, pots & pans are all in place
for your use and enjoyment.

The Cabin @ The Hide-A-Way is centrally located between Asheville
and Boone along the picturesque Blue Ridge Parkway. A 30 minute
drive brings you to many features such as , The Biltmore Estate and
Winery with its Italian and English gardens and rose garden with
over 3000 plants, The Grove Park Inn, Thomas Wolfe's boyhood home,
Lake Lure and Chimney Rock, the Musuem of North Carolina Minerals,
The Parkway Playhouse, Blowing Rock where they claim snow falls up
instead of down, Mount Mitchell (the highest point east of the
Mississippi River at 6,684 feet), the water falls at Crabtree
Meadows and the two-level falls of Linville Falls & Caverns,
Tweetsie Railroad (North Carolina's original theme park),
Grandfather Mountain (& the mile high swinging bridge), the Penland
School of Crafts, the Folk Art Center, the Orchards at Altapas, the
ski slopes of Beech and Sugar Mountain, golf courses, hunting,
fishing, hiking, rafting, shopping, mining, shows and the most
spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Rates are: $500.00 to $600.00 per week.
Weekend rates (Friday - Sunday): $400.00.
