5 star (German Tourism Association inspected) spacious, traditional apartment
on the edge of a lovely village in
the largest area of forested in mountains in Central Europe in a complex of 3 houses with a total of 9 apartments and guest centre. The
village is directly on the border with the Czech Republic. The apartments
has been renovated to international standards by resident British
owners. Shops and restaurants, buses and railway station, Bavarian
Forest National Park and the Czech Republic are all within 10
minutes walk of the house. The apartment has 3 double bedrooms, all
with ensute bathrooms (with shower & WC), sitting room and
kitchen/dining room, with plenty of space for 6 people. No smoking allowed anywhere on the property.

The apartment has balconies on 2 sides, overlooking the private
garden and the Bavarian Forest/Arber mountain. The kitchen has a 4 ring hob and oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, filter coffee machine, coffee grinder as well as high quality glass and china and plenty of pots
and pans for cooking. The living room has a large screen LCD TV and DVD
player. Outside is a large terrace with barbecue available for all
guests in the house and an orchard for quiet sitting and reading.

The area is a walker's paradise, with well signed footpaths
radiating in every direction, including across the border to the
Czech Republic. There is also a good network of cycle routes and
mountain biking. The Arber mountain is 10 minutes drive from the house and
the cable car operates most of the year. Alpine and cross country
skiing is available in winter. Fo sightseeing, Prague and Munich are
within 2 hours drive and UNESCO World Heritage sites at Regensburg
and Cesky Krumlow are within reach, even Salzburg! In summer, there
are medieval and beer festivals every weekend. And the area is a
treat for glass lovers, within glass works and shops in every town
and village. There is table tennis, table football, badminton, small gym, sauna as well as tennis racquets, golf clubs, football etc. for guests to
borrow. There is a small guest shop and also a coffee lounge and library and lots of DVDs and CDs to borrow.

Rates are charged per night, no minimum stay. Arrival and departure
can be on any day of the week. Prices vary by season and are based on 2 people in the apartment, extra people cost €5 per person per
night. Rates include bedlinen, towels and cleaning, all taxes, breakfast on your first morning, basic kitchen and bathroom supplies for your whole stay, voucher for local restaurant, huge file of specially written local tourist information in English and free use of buses and trains within the BavarianForest. For
stays below 4 nights, a one of charge of €35 is added.
