Vacation Rental Description

Santarella Estate, with it's well known "Gingerbread House", is a
magical, historic property in the heart of Western Massachusetts'
Berkshires region. The property features the former art studio
designed by the sculptor Sir Henry Hudson Kitson with a rolling,
shingled roof to mimic the thatched-roofed cottages in his
native England, his summer "silo studio",now renovated as a
one-bedroom cottage and the 4 bedroom, colonial era home are available as
vacation rentals. With it's beautiful grounds, complete with running
brooks, lily pond, wooded paths and lovely gardens, it is a perfect,
and most unique place to spend your vacation in the Berkshires. The
colonial era house is fully furnished with many amenities.
Located just 3.5 miles off I-90 in one of the most quiet and scenic 
valleys in the region!

Vacation Rental Amenities

The spacious 1750 colonial home is fully furnished including all 
linens, full laundry room, beautiful stone fireplace in Living Room 
and Brick fireplace in kitchen. Sattelite 
television is available, good cell reception,  BBQ, four acres of
beautiful grounds 
including running brooks and lily pond, a wooded trail and Japanese-
style gardens. Master bedroom has private bath and the other three 
share second bath, powder room downstairs. Rental of the house 
includes use of grounds, full tour of the Gingerbread House, the 
historic studio of Sir Henry Hudson Kitson, sculptor of 
the "Lexington Minuteman".The Gingerbread House may be rented for an 
additional fee for a special event during your stay on the estate.

Activities and Attractions

Close to Lenox, Stockbridge, Great Barrington. The Appalachian 
Trail , Tyringham Cobble, Bartholomews Cobble,Beartown State Forest 
are close by. The Tanglewood Music Festival, Berkshire Theatre 
Festival, Williamstown, Jacobs Pillow, Shakespeare and Company, 
Chesterwood, The Mount, Norman Rockwell Museum are also within a 
short drive.  Close to Butternut, Bosquet, Jiminy Peak ski areas,
Prime Outlets in Lee, MA and 
much more.

Through April 30, 2008 M-Th $400/night (2 night min.)
Fri-Sun. $500/night (2 night minimum) $1600/week 

May 1, 2008-October 31, 2008 
Mon-Thurs. $500/night, Fri-Sun. & Holidays $600/night (2 night min.) 
(3 night min. if Monday holiday is included)
$2000/week ($2500 if holiday included)
Cleaning Fee & Sec. Deposit on weekly rentals
