Vacation Rental Description

Quiet luxury abounds.  Centrally located in the heart of the Sonoma
and Napa Valleys.  This 16 acre retreat sits high above the valley
floor with breath taking views.

This Post and Beam home was masterfully crafted by a well known
illustrator and photographer, for a prominent Western Home and Leisure
magazine.  Extensive use of redwood and other beautiful hardwoods
throughout the entire home.  Tastefully decorated, with original works
of art, unique items and antiques.  High ceilings allow plenty of
natural sunlight to fill the home.  New central air conditioning and
remote controlled ceiling fans will keep the home comfortably cool
even on the hottest days.

The cozy living room is a great gathering place to unwind and share
the events of the day, or watch a movie or your favorite television
program on the 42 inch High Definition Plasma Flat Screen, coupled
with Direct TV HD Satellite System.  For those cool evenings, enjoy a
warm fire in the wood stove and snuggle up with a good book from the
extensive home library.

For the gourmet in you, try your skills in the professionally equipped
kitchen; Thermadore professional gas range w/electric ovens, stainless
steel with 4 burners, separate griddle for making perfect pancakes,
and indoor gas grill, perfect for roasting peppers over an open flame.
 Large Sub-Zero refrigerator.  Reverse Osmosis drinking water system
located in the center island, ensures clear sparkling water for
drinking or cooking.  The center island contains an additional prep
sink, with disposal to extra work space.  The Butcher block surface
allows room for family and friends to cook together.  Counter tops are
composed of marble.  Truly a fun kitchen to cook or bake in.  Make
sure to visit our local Farmer's Markets, to sample some of the best
organic produce, grown locally in the Sonoma Valley and Napa Valley.

The Dining room is bright and inviting and will easily accommodate 8
to 10 diners.  Cooler nights can be enjoyed from the warmth of the
cast iron wood-stove, near the long table.  Or choose to dine
alfresco, outside in the screened, redwood, outdoor sun room, while
enjoying the views of the distant hills and the scents from the garden.

There are three formal bedrooms, two guest, one Master.  Additionally,
there is study/bedroom that has a luxurious Ralph Lauren day bed with
trundle.  In the Gallery, there is a full size sofa sleeper and a very
large comfortable chaise.  The guest rooms each have direct access to
it's own private deck, each room is decorated to reflect it's
individual identity.  Artistically hand painted floors and doors will
draw you into the rooms.  Comfortable pillow mattresses, luxury
bedding and linens will provide for a tranquil nights sleep.  The
Master Bedroom is a private suite in the home, private bath, huge walk
in closet, high vaulted ceiling with operable sky lights.  When open
the bedroom stays filled with fresh air, with smells of the redwoods &
flowers around the property.

The Gallery is another great place to relax, maybe shoot a game of
pool.  Hung above the pool table is  a wrought iron lamp, that was
hand crafted for us by an artist located Rosarito Beach Mexico. 
Outside of the Gallery, on it's own deck, you will find a large two
person hammock to use, lounging away the hours reading, or for the
quick perfect nap.

Informal gardens around the property will delight your senses, with
brilliant splashes of color, the air will be filled with fragrant
scents of the flowers in bloom during the season.  Walk among the
roses and arbors.  Sit on the bench and listen to the abundant quail
rustling around the property, calling to each other.  Many beautiful
species of butterflies fill the air in the garden, visiting flower to
flower.  You may spot deer grazing around the property, try to be
quiet and respect the peace they enjoy here.  All who come have
enjoyed the quiet beauty and sanctuary of Vista Bella.

Spacious redwood decking around the solar heated  pool and spa will
provide for hours either sunning or swimming enjoyment.  Down from the
pool is the regulation size Bocce Ball Court.  Simple rules on how to
play are posted nearby.  See why this is the favorite leisure sport up
here in the Wine Country.  It is the only sport you can play holding
the ball in one hand, keeping the other hand free that perfect glass
of wine.  Have a picnic near the towering old growth Redwood,
comfortable wrought iron cafe table and chairs, 9'umbrella make it
ideal place to eat, drink and cheer on the Bocce Ball players.

At the end of the day, soak in the heated spa under the panoramic star
filled sky.  Being in the country and up way up in the hills, away
from the glare of the city lights, the night time sky is spectacular.
 The perfect place to open a bottle of wine, just purchased from one
of our local wineries, and celebrate the end to another perfect day in
the Wine Country.
