Our home is very classy yet comfortable and spacious English cottage
style exterior architecture with a soft, open flow spanish style
interior. Our home, built in 1920s, is graced with rooms of warm
color and artwork, making the house feel very inviting and relaxing.
We are continually complemented by visitors that our home is so
welcoming and warm, full of color and great energy.
There are 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen with
a sunny breakfast nook, and laundry area. Some the special amenities
include a guest bungalow studio with a full bath and sleeps 2, In
addition there is a newly landscaped backyard property with pergolas,
gardens, grill and lounge area, and inside there are 2 working
fireplaces, and indoor and outdoor sound system. The property has lots
of fresh sunny light - taking advantage of LA's great weather.
Our home is tucked in a very quiet, safe, and friendly neighborhood,
the Miracle Mile area of Los Angeles -- yet it is very centrally
located: 5 mins from Beverly Hills, 10 mins from Hollywood, 20 mins
from Santa Monica and Venice Beaches, 35 mins to Malibu, among other
beach and hiking destinations.
It also has the advantage of being close to many of the city's assets:
the beaches, the mountains, downtown (Japan town, museums/theaters,
cultural buildings), Hollywood, Beverly Hills, DisneyLand, the city's
best museums, parks and restaurants.
We are an easy walk from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art / Eli
Broad Art Museum set in the lovely Hancock park -- there are free jazz
concerts, events, throughout the summer. The park is also home to the
La Brea Tar Pits museum. Within walking distance there is also a
Children's museum, the Peterson Automotive Museum, the Arts & Crafts
museum, and the Architecture & Design Museum.
LA in the summer is bubbling with many fun events - there is
picnicing, concerts and kids activities at the Hollywood Bowl, The LA
Aboretum, LA Museum of Contemporary Art, The Getty Center, the
Skirball Museum, the Aquarium of the Pacific etc. In addition there
are numerable day trip options: Ojai (1 hour), Santa Barbara (1.5 hrs)
and the Santa Ynez/Central Coast Wine regions. We have had many fun
weekends, exploring the rugged beautiful beaches and sand dunes in one
part of the day and enjoying the rolling hills beauty of its many
