Newly remodeled Pelican Pointe Resort is located across from the
wide sandy beaches and gentle cool waves of Clearwater Beach, within
walking distance to many restaurants and shops. You’ll want to
amble over to nearby Pier 60 for the sunset festivities, where
jugglers and other street entertainers, artisans, and musicians
perform. All water sport activities are available at the beach,
including parasailing, fishing from the pier, chartered fishing
excursions, day and dinner cruises. Lounge chairs with umbrellas
are available at the beach for rental. There are a number of golf
courses in the area, and other amusements include Clearwater Beach
Aquarium, spring training baseball camps in the area, and many
attractions in nearby Tampa including Busch Gardens, Museum of
Science and Industry, the Salvador Dali Museum, Lowry Park Zoo, and
professional sporting events.
