Cornell Graduation Weekend 2013

Review submitted: June 13, 2013   Date of arrival: May 23, 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at Lucky Duck Cottage (despite unseasonably cold late spring weather). This is a vacation home, not just a rental property. It's proximity to Ithaca (and Cornell) made the location ideal to have friends visit and spend time with us during the weekend (vs. where they were staying which was much further away). Our fourteen year old son and his friend quickly embraced having their own place -- the bunkhouse. We concluded the weekend hosting a post graduation party for our graduating daughter, her fellow graduate friends and their families. The outdoor grill, fire pit, ping pong table, horseshoe pits and the available extra tables and chairs contributed significantly to the party's success! We've already referred families of future graduates to the Lucky Duck Cottage.

Lucky Duck

Review submitted: July 9, 2012   Date of arrival: June 16, 2012

We recently spent a week at Lucky Duck and had a wonderful time. It is a lovely home, very clean and conveniently located. You are 10 minutes away from all of the conveniences of Ithaca, but when you get back to Lucky Duck, you feel very remote, quiet and relaxed. The home is also located close to some good hiking areas and state parks as well as some very nice wineries. The owners are very easy to deal with and very responsive and seem to have lots of items on hand in the event you forget something. We all had a great time!

Ludky Duck Graduation Weekend 2012

Review submitted: June 18, 2012   Date of arrival: May 22, 2012

Three families shared this lovely home for our daughters' Cornell graduation. The weather was perfect, home in very clean condition, and met all our needs. There was laughter around the firepit each evening and days spent on the lake soaking in the beauty of Lake Cayuga. The home is convenient to Wegman's as well as Cornell University. Horseshoes and pingpong were available for non-lake recreation and the bass caught by our son was enjoyed by all on our last evening. The kitchen met all our cooking needs and there was plenty of hot water for showering our group. The bunkhouse was perfect for our teen boys. The only criticism would be that the trek down the stairs to the lake is a haul and unsafe for young children to maneuver alone. We count ourselves lucky for being able to spend time at the Lucky Duck cabin!
