Located about three miles from Woodland Park, it is convenient to run into town for those
last minute
needs, shopping, movies or other needs.
This is not a party house! We love people to come enjoy a very nicely appointed house,
but we also
want respect for our property.
Also, we have found children under 10 years old to be problematic and since the property
is not
child-proofed we ask that no children under 10 be in your party. Exceptions on an
individual case
basis.
This ridgetop log home built in 2002, has beautiful views of Pikes Peak and the alpine
setting from
every window. The main living area is on the second story. The house sits on a ridge and
you feel
like you are living amongst the trees. The home is about 9,000 feet, therefore it will feel
about 10
degrees cooler than Colorado Springs.
Two redwood decks and a spacious covered patio let you relax under the pine and aspen
canopy. The
living area and master bedroom have great hardwood flooring with carpeted areas in the
game room and
the other three bedrooms.
The bedrooms all provide a great retreat. The master has a king bed with a memory foam
mattress. Two
of the other bedrooms have queen beds with pillow-top mattresses. The fourth bedroom
has an antique
quarter bed with a memory foam topper on the mattress.
The electric start gas Moss Rock fireplace allows you to set the mood immediately. A
matching log
cabin adjacent to the home and patio houses a large Jacuzzi hot tub for relaxation, no
matter what
the weather.
This is also a great location to sit quietly and watch the wildlife. The variety of birds is
amazing. Hummingbirds are abundant, as well as, deer, squirrels and chipmunks.
Occasionally you will have a black bear , elk, raccoon or fox visit. It is a great place to
enjoy the outdoors.
The country kitchen has a great eat-in island as well as an adjacent dining area.
This home will provide you with a great hub for day trips and local activities with all the
comforts of home. Relax on the deck and read, or enjoy a great Jacuzzi spa treatment,
and cook your
own gourmet meals in the open kitchen.

Woodland Park, "The City Above the Clouds", is located 14 miles west of Colorado
Springs, and is a
prime tourist destination, offering an alpine setting for relaxation and fun. The town
boasts many
weekly activities and attractions that make your stay here very memorable. There are
several
eclectic shops in Woodland Park, many good eateries and grocery shopping at national
chains.
Located at 8,500 feet, the town has a very pleasant climate and is very accessible during
the winter
months. Whether you love skiing, rafting, hiking, fishing, casinos, biking, rock climbing,
outdoor
concerts or even golf, Woodland Park is a great hub for all of these activities.
Pikes Peak access is only 10 minutes away, Cripple Creek casinos are 35 minutes away,
golf in the
Springs is 20 minutes down the mountain, ski Breckenridge is 90 minutes away, and
hiking, fishing and
outdoor activities are minutes from town in the National Forest.
Other attractions include, river rafting down the Arkansas River, Cripple Creek & Victor
Gold
Mining Co., Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, horse-back riding at Flying W
Ranch,
Garden of the Gods, rock-climbing, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Rocky Mountain Dinosaur
Resource
Center, Royal Gorge Route Railroad, Pikes Peak Cog railway, theater in Cripple Creek at
the
opera house, and great hunting just minutes away.

Minimum of 3 nights per reservation, and a cleaning fee of $85.00 is added.
A $10.00 per day, per guest over 4 people is added to the base rates.
A $500.00 refundable deposit. This is fully refunded after property has been cleaned and inspected
for any damages. Pets require an additional $300 deposit ( refundable, unless extra cleaning required ).
2009 Rates:
$165.00 per night, $990 per week for the following:
October, November, January, February
$200.00 per night, $1200 per week for the following:
December, March, April
$250.00 per night, $1500 per week for the following:
May, June, July, August, September, Christmas week, New Years week, and
Thanksgiving week.

2010 Rates:
$175.00 per night, $1050 per week for the following:
October, November, January, February
$210.00 per night, $1260 per week for the following:
December, March, April 
$265.00 per night, $1590 per week for the following: 
May, June, July, August, September, Christmas week, New Years week, and 
Thanksgiving week.
Weekly rates reflect, 6 days paid + 1 day free.
Any stays over 7 days get 14% off the daily rate for the extra days over 7.
Reservations greater than 6 months in advance will require a $50.00 non-refundable
deposit to hold the date. It will be credited to the total.
Reservations booked less than 6 months in advance require 50% at booking and balance
is due 60 days before check-in.
Payment with check must be done well in advance so check can clear. E-checks can be
done through PayPal and have $5 charge and Credit cards must be used when booking at
the last minute and are charged 3% on the lodging balance only.

A cancellation prior to 15 days of check-in will entitle you to receive 50% of your payment.
No refunds on cancellations less than 15 days before check-in date.
If you would want the right to cancel last minute, a 15% premium is to be paid at
booking. This
will entitle you to receive a full refund for cancellations at any time.
No smoking allowed on property. Violation of the smoking policy will result in loss of deposit.
To register, send us an email with the dates you desire. You will then receive an invoice and a
registration form that should be filled out and emailed back.
The lodging charges can be taken care of by check or credit card through PayPal. Credit
