vacation rental description
Maine has Frenchman's Bay, Massachusetts has Nantucket Sound, and Maryland has the Chesapeake Bay! Enjoy the ever changing panorama of spectacular sunsets, teeming wildlife, graceful sailboats, and impressive ships from a truly wonderful and historic location, Love Point! Located just 4 1/2 miles north of the Bay Bridge, we are 20 minutes to historic Annapolis, 40 minutes to Baltimore and 50 miles to Washington, DC.
This spacious 3BR-2BA fully landscaped ranch home is situated on over 1 1/2 acres of land with 200' of shoreline. There is a dock with ladder for easy access to the bay which is ideal for boating, fishing and swimming because of its shallow waters and smooth, sandy bottom. Afterwards, soap up and rinse off in the wonderful hot/cold OUTDOOR SHOWER!!
The home interior is colorful and comfortable. A wonderful fireplace is enjoyed in the cooler months of the year when guests can sit by the fireplace and see the water from three large windows facing the bay. The house has hardwood floors throughout, a cathedral ceiling in the kitchen, family room and several public seating areas - LR, family room, porch, decks. Contemporary fabrics mix happily with antiques and hand painted furniture which the owners have collected on the eastern shore and abroad. There is a new 46" HDTV and piano for the music lovers. The basement is finished in a Spanish style complete with arched doorways and tiled floors. The lighted Trex planked deck with two dining areas, deck chairs and loungers span the back of the house and allow for excellent water views. The adjacent lot provides a volleyball field, privacy and space for our wildlife to roam - birds, bunnies and even a deer or two!
The house sleeps 4-6 people most comfortably, however, a "dormitory" style room in the basement, works well for groups up to 12 attending weddings or family reunions in the area. There are 4 twin beds, 2 queen size beds and 1 double bed. A ping-pong table, toys and games provide entertainment on rainy days. Linens and towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped for all your cooking needs providing a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, ice maker etc.
Come and enjoy! You will be delighted and refreshed.
