Whispering Woods in Franklin

Tucked back in the woods but less than a 10 minute drive from downtown Franklin, Whispering Woods is a clean, quiet cabin. This 1-bedroom / 1-bath home is completely furnished and ready for your visit.....all you need is your toothbrush! With their 10' ceilings the rooms are spacious, but still offer a warm & cozy atmosphere for your vacation getaway.

The bedroom has a queen-size bed and the living room has a queen-size sleeper sofa so the cabin will accommodate 2-4 comfortably. However, the large rooms provide ample space for an additional cot and/or blow-up mattress if necessary. Bed linens, pillows and blankets (with extras) are provided.

The kitchen has everything needed to prepare relaxing meals, gourmet dinners, or just a sandwich to enjoy in the eat-in kitchen or out on the deck.

Part of the deck is covered with an 8x10 gazebo and has a patio table & chairs for outside dining. Also provided are a charcoal grill and an indoor/outdoor electric grill. The other side of the deck is open and there are rocking chairs for relaxing. From either deck you can watch for deer in the early morning and late afternoon. Maybe you'll spot them as they come down to get a drink of water from the stream that runs in front of the cabin. At
night you can unwind while you listen to the hoot-owls serenade as they call out to each other. The deck is enclosed and the wooden fence runs along one side of the cabin and with 3 gates there is easy access to any part of the yard. This "fenced-in" area also provides a safe place outdoors for your pets to stretch their legs and enjoy some fresh air too. There is also a fire-pit in the yard for campfires & roasting marshmallows. Can you taste those s'mores? Firewood provided.

The bedroom and living room have ceiling fans (it always stays cool here under the trees). And for those chilly days & nights, there is a gas fireplace to warm the cabin and extra electric oil heaters are available if desired.

A small laundry room has a washer and dryer. Laundry detergent, an iron & ironing board are also furnished for your convenience.

The cabin has satellite TV and there is a TV, VCR & DVD player in both the bedroom and living room. A modest video collection offers lots & lots of movies to choose from. Board games, box games, puzzles & books are provided for you to enjoy. The living room also has a stereo on which you can play your favorite cassette tapes and cd's.

Finally, we are "pet-friendly" so your four-legged family members are always welcome.
