Great Stay in New Orleans!

I rented the house from the Kenilworth Group with a group of nine, and we had a great visit from start to finish. The owner was very helpful from the beginning of the process to the very end. I had several questions before even confirming the rental, and the owner was responsive and helpful during several different phone calls leading up to the rental.

I was skeptical about renting this house at first because of some of the negative reviews posted on VRBO, but I am glad I did. After renting from the owner I believe the negative comments are totally off-base and are probably just from people who can't do anything without complaining.

My group of friends was met by the owner when arriving at the house at the beginning of the rental. He showed them the house and made suggestions for local places to eat and visit. The house was well stocked with cookware, glasses, etc. The house had plenty of space for our group of nine. Since there were no couples in the group, several of us slept comfortably on various couches in the house. The owner provided plenty of pillows and blankets to accomodate. The house has been recently remodeled with nice finishes including granite, finished concrete and hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, etc. The house also has a gas cooktop which is a definite bonus. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Our group spent most of our time in New Orleans either downtown or in the French Quarter, and had no problem getting back-and-forth using cabs. A single rider cab fare was roughly $15-17, while many cab drivers charged us a flat rate of $5 per person when taking the larger group; very reasonable. It was typically about a 10 minute ride.

Thank you for a great experience, I would definitely rent from this owner again!

Great vacation home

The house is in a great condition, open space, all 3 bedrooms very nice and clean, laundry available. Very nice open kitchen, huge back yard, and driveway . The house its in the perfect location ,close to major locations, down town, french quarter etc etc .

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, families with teenagers

Owners response: It is much appreciated when guests are honest as to their experience while staying at The Williamson House. The Williamson staff work hard to provide a clean, attractive and a very welcoming environment to all of our guests.
The Williamson House is ideally located, which makes it easy to maneuver around the city to all key entertainment venues and attractions New Orleans has to offer for your vacation getaway.

Fleur D' Lis Street Dump

HEADS UP too anyone considering renting this home. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE ONE DIME UNTIL YOU HAVE SEEN IT AND DONE A WALK THROUGH!!!!
You won't be able too do so, because the owner will not let you!!! RED FLAG!!!
I stayed in this home with my elderly parents and brother. The smell when we walked in was masked by so much air freshener; we did not know what was worse, the smell of mold and raw sewage or the Glade. There was black mold on my sheets and vomit on
the right side bed skirt from a previous guest. No water pressure, half painted walls, no smoke alarm in the Master Bedroom, broken table left in the corner covered by a broken flat screen TV. The list goes on. The owner has no clue about the hotel/home rental business. The pull out couches are not fit for dogs to sleep on!!! I do not know what else to say other than do your homework and stay away from this property. When I called the owner to discuss this matter he was in complete and total denial. He would not even consider giving us back one penny. DO NOT RENT THIS HOME!!!!!

Please be advised; I consider the allegations of this person to be Libel, Slanderous and Defamatory and Harassment.

The statements are false or extremely exaggerated: The Condition Of the Property is Great.
Note:
There is a Guest review from another guest that arrived five hours (5) after they departed; date of arrival December 28, 2013; they stayed in the house for four nights; they stated they loved the House. No Complaints at all; in-fact, they gave the house five (5) stars; Review: 7212724.

This person demanded a lot of money and made multiple types of threats, of course, that included, writing a negative review and there were other threats that I will not mention.

Note: This person’s idea of attempting to call and have a conversation went as follows:

First: I NEVER Received a phone call from any person in this party during their stay. After 2 full days had past following their departure;

I received, what I call a Vicious, Nasty, Slanderous defamatory, Loud Verbal Assault and Extortion Attempt which included, Profanity at the loudest level that his lungs could project. He continued with the strong usage of a lot of Profanity over and over again. Stating that they would shut the business down if they didn't get a certain amount of money sent to them.
I was then, called repeatedly a Coward and Ignorant. This went on for about five (5) minutes. I pulled the phone away from my ear and let someone else listen as a witness; they also listened to the threats and the verbal abuse that came from this person’s mouth.

There is no raw sewage smell; that would mean sewage problems; again, this person never called not once during their entire stay.

Therefore, clearly, there were no problems at the house (obviously, the toilets worked fine). There are no unpainted walls. There is no mold or mildew. The sheets were washed and cleaned. The house was very clean as always. Libel is the written communication of defamatory statements to a third party.
This company takes such false communications seriously!
This company will defend itself by use of Legal Remedies.
