Beautiful Condo Near Beach, Golf, Pools, Dining

This is a terrific place to stay near Pawleys Island. Greg & Marge (owners) anticipated everything we might need right down to pool & ocean toys, beach chairs, paperbacks for beach reading & beach umbrella. The condo is very comfortable and well appointed. Bedrooms with adjoining baths are laid out as seperate units off the foyer providing max privacy for two couples traveling or a little space (peace) for a family traveling with teens or children. The kitchen has everything from any cookwear you might need to all of the sundry items (napkins, foil, baggies, detergent) that are needed for staying in at happy hour & dinner time. The washer and dryer (and detergent) off the foyer were a welcome sight. There are beautiful beaches nearby, wonderful quiet pools, tennis courts and a goergous clubhouse on the property. The unit has a large screened porch that overlooks the fairway and is great spot for a morning cup of coffee or an afternoon happy hour. Visit local seafood markets to cook your own fresh fish or shrimp (MMMM!!!) or head to Merrills Inlet for dining on the catch of the day. We love the Hot Fish Club. You can sit at waters edge at their open air bar/deck and watch kayakers and boaters put in and return to the docking area. You can kayak the PeeDee River to the rice plantations with Black River Outfitters in Georgetown or spend the day at Litchfield Beach perfecting a tan or building the perfect sand castle. There are many challenging golf courses in the area but you will already be staying at one of the finest. And don't miss Brookgreen Gardens. They even have live music and theatrical performances in the gardens during summer evening hours. There is so much to do less than 15 minutes from this condo that the week can slip by quickly. Yet this is such a wonderful property that it's hard to pull yourself from watching the golfers (and the squirrels) from the big wicker chairs on the porch to head out for the beaches/gardens. It still makes me smile to think of what a warm welcoming home it was each day upon our return - clean, well maintained, comfortable. The owners are terrific communicators promptly emailing all instructions and even sending extra pictures upon our request. There was a bottle of wine waiting for us (with a request to replace it for the next couple) and area travel guides for planning out our stay. Thanks, Greg and Marge! We're already looking forward to staying in your condo again.

Love the Pawleys Rental and the Island!

Our first stay with Marge & Greg was in 2007, and we loved it and remembered it so fondly, we are coming back this spring, 2009. The condo itself is lovely, and feels very homelike. The lockout suite (complete with a little coffee area) is going to come in very handy this time around, as we're travelling with another couple. The appointments are very nice, and the owners make sure that you have everything you need. The view of the fairway and the wildlife surrounding the golf course is lovely, and even enchanting in the early morning hours. Situated in a gated golf community, the condo is very private and peaceful, and the entire place is wonderful for strolling. Pawley's Island itself is situated nicely, far enough south of Myrtle Beach to be quiet and lovely, but close enough to drive to the hustle-bustle and -yes! Shopping! The Island of Pawley's Island is heavily built, but I strongly recommend the public beach at the southern tip of the island, rather than the other public beach access areas. There is plenty of parking, porta-lets if needed, and a wide expanse of pretty beach facing the ocean on one side, and the Intracoastal on the other. I had a ball taking photos and watching the folks fishing on the waterway while walking my dog between bouts of sunbathing. And I enjoyed walking out along the breakwater between the public beach and the residential area, listening to the surf and taking photos and video of the tiny sealife clinging to the rocks. The area offers shopping from outlet malls to little local boutiques. Dining is easy, and also ranges from top chains to local fish markets and bistros. I highly recommend this rental - it fits us perfectly, and I'm quite sure many other travellers will appreciate its benefits.

Wonderful place to stay!

This is by far the best place we have ever rented while staying in Myrtle Beach! I have coming here for many years with my kids who are now 22 and 19 and this tops every place. The condo is spacious, clean, has all the amenities you will need, a terrific pool and wonderful Property Owners to deal with! It is located in Pawley's Island which is away from the hectic areas! I highly recommend this condo to families who are looking for a well-maintained, well above average property to stay in.
