vacation rental description

This home is a gorgeous new 3 Bedroom 2 ½ Bath Home with a Natural
Hot Springs well feeding 2 Private Spas professionally designed by a
landscape architect. The spas are located in a private courtyard
with a cabana, outdoor fireplace and luscious landscaping.
The lovely furnishings and dinnerware in this home have been
carefully selected by an Interior Designer. Serenity is the
inspiration for the feeling the designer has created inside. Come
and enjoy the restful rejuvenation that soaking in water drawn from
a natural hot water well can provide. Here at our home, our hot
mineral water rises from our own deep well and pours directly into
our spas. It comes out of the aquifer at a temperature of 148
degrees Fahrenheit and is tempered to soothe your being as you soak
in the crystal clear, odorless water. You can control the
temperature of each pool to your comfort and liking.
Although founded in 1941 and just minutes north of Palm Springs,
Desert Hot Springs was somehow overlooked in the building binge of
the past few decades. This small desert town (population 16,500) is
tucked against the Little San Bernardino Mountains, 1,100 feet above
the valley floor. Desert Hot Springs rests upon a huge alluvial
plain that fills the cavity of the ancient Mission Creek, which
flows from the snow pack on the majestic peak of Mt. San Gorgonio.
For eons, the runoff water has worked its way down the mountain
slopes, filtering through deposits of sand, gravel, rocks and
boulders-taking 20 years to reach the confines of the five-mile deep
Mission Creek Aquifer. Its waters sizzle up from the deep and are
heated naturally by the magma of the earth. From fissures that
extend down to the earth’s molten interior, hundreds of thousands of
gallons of this naturally heated water flow back to the surface each
day. We invite you to come, relax and enjoy.

traveler reviews for this desert hot springs house rental

Hidden Gem in a Hidden Gem

Review submitted: August 11, 2011   Date of arrival: July 1, 2011

"Serenity" is a wonderful home -- with the style, taste, and amenities of a Four Seasons. (As a frequent business traveler, I can say this with confidence and authority.) My family and I found this home to be exceptionally comfortable and well appointed. And its central location in Desert Hot Springs is easy and convenient.

The internal courtyard design of the house -- with hot springs- and waterfall-fed spa and an outdoor living room centered around a gas fireplace -- is wonderful. And the interior of the house benefits from ample bedroom separation, soaring ceilings, and multiple french doors. The desert landscaping on the property is beautiful.

Desert Hot Springs is an often overlooked gem in the Coachella Valley, with sweeping views in all directions, and a casual, low-key desert style that complements its more famous resort neighbors. Serenity has the same feel -- and contributes to what makes DHS such a special find for those who appreciate it.

Can't recommend this vacation home highly enough.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, girls getaway, pet-friendly, romantic getaway
