Charming Townhouse Condo w/ Large Pool 2 Blocks from Beach in Mazatlan

Relax in a lounge chair on the patio and catch some warm sun.  Go for a swim in the big pool or the ocean.  Cook some steaks or tasty shrimp on the barbeque. Take a peekaboo view of the ocean from an upstairs room.  Watch a DVD or Blue Ray movie or internet TV on the home theater system.

This is a beautifully decorated (in Mexican colors) 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom, two-story townhouse condo (built in 2007).  The interior is modern and clean. Bedroom 1 is downstairs and has a full size (matrimonial) bed and an en-suite shower and bathroom.  Bedroom 2 is the upstairs front room and has a king size bed and an en-suite shower and bathroom.  Bedroom 3 is the upstairs back room (over the patio) and has two twin (single) beds.  

The tiled patio area includes a granite table with 6 chairs and an umbrella, an artistically tiled big barbecue, two lounge chairs, and tropical plants in planters and pots.  The patio area is very private and gets a lot of afternoon sun all year long.  The patio area is extremely cosy because of the colors--especially at night.

The rental fee for the condo includes: electricity, propane gas, water/sewer/garbage removal, dsl internet (54mpbs), home theater HDTV internet TV, and all condo amenity privileges.

Maid service is available for 250 pesos per cleaning.

The condo is across the street from the beach, a 10-15 minute walk. Next to the condo you will find:  a convenience store (selling water, beer/wine/liquor, USA Today newspaper, fresh produce, ice, and sundries), bus service to all parts of Mazatlan, and 24-hour taxi service.  There are many English speakers in the condo's development.  The property is located in the Villa Marina development of Mazatlan.

It is a 10-minute bus ride to the Golden Zone  (the newer, more touristy shopping, restaurant and nightclub district), and a 20-minute bus ride  to El Centro (the historic district). Going in the other direction, it is a 5-minute bus ride to Cerritos beach, where you can buy jewelry and other Mexican homeade goods, have a massage, and eat fresh lobster, crab and fish right off the boat.  Across the street from the townhouse/condo, there are several restaurants at the beach that are within walking distance.

This is our future retirement home, so we are always making improvements.

People from anywhere in the world are welcome to rent.  But just to let you know who rents the most--the vast majority so far have been from Northwest Canada, in particular Alberta.

The condo amenities include a large swimming pool (big enough to do laps in), a clubhouse, an exercise room, a walking track, and 24-hour security guards with a gated entrance. The condo has a covered front porch with two hand-made wood and leather chairs plus a side table. The condo is furnished with leather living room couches and coffee table; a dining area with glass table and four chairs; a kitchen counter top with two bar stools; a kitchen with cookware, plates, glasses, utensils, stove, microwave, blender, coffee maker, refrigerator; a beautifully tiled patio with tiled barbeque, washing machine, washing line, 2 chaise lounges, and a granite-top table with 6 chairs. The condo includes DSL wireless internet service at 54mbps.  The condo also includes a media room upstairs with a home theater 40-inch internet High Definition (Sony) television and a DVD/Blue Ray player.  Kids can bring their video games and play them on the home theater system. 

The neighborhood has a mixture of friendly people from Canada, the US, and Mexico.  People both live and rent in the development. Houses and gardens are well kept and beautiful to look at. Our previous renters have commented that this is one of the nicest developments they have seen in Mazatlan because of its beauty, its pool, and its proximity to Mazatlan's offerings.  If you take a walk around the neighborhood, you will be greeted with "buenos dias," "buenas tardes," "hola," or "hello."

On the grounds, the townhouse condo has a large swimming pool, clubhouse, a small exercise room, and walking track. The townhouse condo is across the street from a major resort (Mayan Sea Garden), where you can enter as a visitor and pay for the resort's beach activities (parachute towed by a boat, boogie boarding, aquatics, etc.), or you can use the cash (ATM) machine.  You can also pay a small fee to use the gym at the Mayan Sea Garden, which has a full range of exercise equipment.

Down in the El Centro part of Mazatlan, there is an open-air market selling all kinds of fresh foods and goods. There is also the Angela Peralta Theatre where ballets, operas and other cultural arts are performed. In the Golden Zone, there are night clubs, restaurants, and souvenir shopping.

At the new marina just 5 minutes away, you can play 18 holes of golf or take out a boat for fishing.

Fun things to do all over Mazatlan include shopping for pottery, jewelry (especially silver), and many other hand-made goods; going sport fishing and deep sea fishing; visiting the acquarium; going to the water park (when in season); taking boat trips to Stone Island or Deer Island or to see sea lions or for a sunset cruise; eating fresh seafood (shrimp, fish, octopus, clams, oysters); visiting the sea shell museum; and taking side trips to small towns like El Quelite.

It's easy to get to wherever you want to in Mazatlan from our condo. Just walk outside of the development and hop into a bus, a taxi, a pulmonia, or a red truck--without waiting more than a couple minutes.
