Welcome to what we feel is the “Ultimate Lake Retreat" Vacation Home  
on Lake Lure in the beautiful and pristine Appalachian Mountains of  
Western North Carolina.  We are sure you will agree that the value  
offered for this home can't be beat! 
 
Our home is a 2,700 square foot, two story house on the north face  
of the mountains surrounding Lake Lure providing an incredible view  
of the center of the lake and Bald Mountain beyond with an elevation  
of 2800 feet.  Access to the house is less than 5 minutes off  
Highway 74-A and less than 10 minutes from a new full service  
grocery store.  The house offers the following spaces.  
 
Four Bedrooms and one Den/Bedroom sleeping up to fourteen (14) 
One Bedroom Suite, Kids Bedroom, Den/Bedroom and Rec Room on 1st flr 
Two Master Suites with all other Living Space on the 2nd Floor 
A Total of Four Bathrooms (two upstairs and two downstairs) 
Living Room, Dining Room and Kitchen with Lake Views! 
All Bedrooms but one have direct Lake Views 
Brick Fireplace in Living Room (not functional)

Vacation Rental Rates

We have attempted to structure our rates based on the seasons and  
the holidays that correspond with the demand.  We welcome questions  
or comments concerning our rates and feel that, based on other  
properties available on Lake Lure and what they offer,  the home and  
amenities we offer you for your vacation are the best value on the  
lake.  Once you have stayed with us, we are sure you will agree. 
 
Rentals are based on a week's stay on a "Saturday to Saturday"  
basis.  Check-in time is no earlier than 4 PM with Check-out time by  
11 AM.  This time differential is requited for our housekeepers  
to clean, change linens, and prepare the home for your visit.  A  
portion of ones damage deposit may be forfeited if check-out time is  
not achieved by 11 AM.  The typical minimum stay is 4 days with a  
daily rate thereafter for more than 4 days, but fewer than 7 days.  
Stays of fewer than 4 days may be allowed in certain circumstances.

Holiday rates take precedence over the seasonal rates listed above,  
as these weeks are typically the most sought after weeks of the  
year.  Please note that Holiday Week periods can only be secured by  
the week.  In addition to our rates above, we are required to add  
State Sales Tax of 6.75% and a Rutherford County Occupancy Tax of 5%  
to the rates above.  The two taxes total 11.75% 
 
Retreat Guidelines 
 
We rent to family units and couples only.  You must be 25 years of  
age to sign the rental agreement. 
No Pets of any type are allowed due to the owners and other guests  
allergies. 
This is a non smoking house!  Smoking is only allowed outside.  
Smoking is also not allowed on the Pontoon Boat. 
Only one prime renter will be allowed on the rental agreement, and  
that individual will be responsible for the condition of  the  
retreat.  
 
Reservations, Deposits, Cancellations,  Payments and Agreements 
 
Reservations and Deposits 
The required Damage Deposit of $800.00 will serve as your  
Reservation Guarantee.  The deposit will be returned within 45 days  
of your departure assuming no damage has been inflicted on the Home,  
Boat and other property of the Retreat.  Payment for your stay must  
be received in full 21 days prior to your reservation arrival date.   
Failure to due so will forfeit your reservation and your Damage  
Deposit/ Guarantee. 
 
Cancellations 
If a cancellation is necessary, the notice must be received 21 days  
prior to the arrival date of the reservation to receive 100% of  
your deposit.  Cancellations within the 21 day period may lose a pro- 
rata share of the deposit. 
 
Payments 
At this time due to past circumstances, payments for The Lake Lure  
Retreat can only be received by check or money orders.  Payments  
should be made to:

Agreement 
An executed rental agreement will be required prior to occupying the  
Retreat.  A copy of the agreement can be sent to you by requesting  
it in the "Contact Us" page of this web site 
 
Upon Your Arrival 
Our retreat caretaker, Debbie, will meet you upon your arrival to  
provide you with keys, information and instructions about various  
aspects or operations of the house and the boat.  She will advise of  
the house rules, have you sign the forms for using the boat, and  
provide you with a way to contact her if you have any problems with  
the house or boat during your stay with us.
