Vacation Rental Description

Our home is located on a one acre piece of land in the community of Scotch Creek.  It is a 4 minute 
walk to a quiet beach.  Our house is approximately 1400 square feet with two large bedrooms and a 
loft. The loft can be used as an extra living room or is a great place for the kids to sleep.  One 
bedroom is on the main floor and has a queen bed. The upstairs bedroom has a double bed as well as 
two twin beds for the kids.  This bedroom is air-conditioned and has an ensuite bathroom. The 
kitchen is large and well equipped. There is a large deck off of the front of the house offering a 
view of our orchard.  The back yard is great if you are looking for some shade.  There are trees on 
all four sides of the property allowing maximum privacy.  There is a guest house as well which is 
approximately 200 square feet.  It has a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and a twin on the 
top.  There is a fort in the back yard for older children to play in.  There are two fire pits to 
enjoy the beautiful Shuswap evenings.  We keep our home very clean and well maintained.  It is a 
great place for a family vacation. 

Vacation Rental Amenities

The kitchen is as well equiped as most homes including fridge, deep freeze, stove, dishwasher, 
microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, blender, griddle, cookware, dishes, cutlery, dish clothes 
and towels.  There is a washer and dryer as well as a clothes line.  There is cable TV, VCR/DVD and 
a good kids movie collection.  There are lots of family games and books. The kitchen has a large 
eating bar with 4 stools.  The large kitchen table can seat 10.  The living room has two large 
comfortable leather couches and a gas fireplace.  Outside there is a barbeque, picnic table, deck 
chairs, firepits and wood providing there is no fire ban, football, soccer, bocce.  There is a 
marina close by to launch your boat.  The grocery store is a 2 minute drive away and has a good 
selection of groceries.

Activities and Attractions

Shuswap Lake is great for boating, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing.  You can also take 
advantage of other nearby activities such as hiking (Roderick Haige Brown park is fantastic), 
cycling, golfing (Shuswap Lake Estates), horseback riding, white water rafting. It is also the 
perfect place to sit back and do absolutely nothing!

Vacation Rental Rates

2008 Summer is fully booked.  If you wish to book for 2009 rates are $2000 per week 2 week minimum 
rental.
