Vacation Rental Description

This is a basic 1950's knotty pine cabin on the shore of Green Bay 
directly across from the top of Door County, Wisconsin.  The cabin 
is located 30 miles north of the Michigan-Wisconsin line and 26 
miles south of Escanaba on Highway M35,  and is on the beach.  The 
water is crystal clear and our beach is fine powder sand and unlike 
Door County and most of the Upper Peninsula, there are no rocks in 
our bay.  The beach is adjacent to a county park that hosts a large 
number of wildlife species including deer and Bald Eagles.

If you enjoy the water we have the best beach in the area with 
multiple sand bars for playing and strolling.

Vacation Rental Amenities

The cabin is neat and fresh and speaks to days gone by.  There are 
two bedrooms and a living area with comfortable seating, tv, etc.   
The kitchen is cabin normal in that it is stocked with the basics 
you will need to do what people do on vacation.  It is not fancy, 
but it is clean and everything works.  The beach has a fire pit and 
we supply all the wood you will need to have a great time while you 
are here.  For those who seek accommodations during the fall color 
season or hunting season the cabin is, of course, heated.

4 miles down the road is Michigan's brand new full service Cedar 
River Marina and a free State of Michigan boat ramp and parking.     
Cedar River inlet has some of the best bass fishing on the Great 
Lakes and the reef directly in front of the cabin is the place to 
fish if you like walleye. If you want to get a Michigan fishing 
license, you can arrange with the owner to go fishing with him on 
his boat at a fraction of a charter fee.

All bedding and bath essentials are provided.  Just bring your own 
food.

Activities and Attractions

This is a wonderful 4 season area.  Summer speaks for itself and the 
fall is beautiful here on the top of Lake Michigan.  There are 
several ATV and cross country ski trails nearby.  Additionally it is 
less than 90 minutes to the shores of Lake Superior where a day trip 
takes you to a really unique world.

Vacation Rental Rates

During the summer months we charge $800.00 per week.  After Labor 
Day and throughout both the fall colors and hunting seasons the rate 
is $700.00 per week.  There is no cleaning fee.
