Vacation Rental Description

This fully furnished cottage is 12 feet from the water; you can't get closer! It's the perfect spot 
to relax and watch the changing bird life and lobster boating activity. Picturesque islands are 
nearby and the views are perfect Maine scenery.  You can launch kayaks and canoes from the property.  
There is a deep water mooring available with prior arrangement. There is a small yard on each side of 
the house. The view from the living room looks north, east and south. The "Basin" which is a well 
known sailing destination is almost directly across the water. This cottage is in a protected 
location about two miles from open ocean. Kids love to explore the rocks and water's edge. No pets, 
no smoking, firm.

If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful Maine vacation, this is the spot for you.  

Vacation Rental Amenities

The living room has windows on three sides so there is always something to watch on the water.  The 
kitchen is quite new with cherry cabinets, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, lobster pot and all the 
cooking equipment you might want. A gas BBQ, a picnic table and lawn chairs are in the yard. Cable TV, 
CD, DVD, VHS and VCR players, wireless Internet, phone, radio, and clocks are provided. The master 
bedroom with queen bed is on the first floor, as is the roomy bathroom with stall shower. Upstairs are 
two bedrooms, each with twin beds. We have "bottle quality" drinking water which is not always the case 
in coastal Maine. Central heating.

Activities and Attractions

We are 25-30 minutes from LL Bean (Freeport).  Brunswick (20 minutes) has lots of cultural activities 
from theater to museums. There is plenty of shopping (groceries, book and clothing stores, etc) in 
Cooks Corner (15 minutes). Restaurants in the area vary from lobster eaten at picnic benches to 
formal dining. Right in Cundy's Harbor is a typical lobster and fish restaurant where you eat right 
on the wharf.

Bring your kayak or canoe.  They can be launched right from the property. There are wonderful bays 
and inlets to explore. 
 
Cundy's Harbor is an active fishing harbor where you can buy fresh lobster right from the lobstermen.  
Bath, Wiscasset, Camden, Portland, Boothbay can all be morning or day destinations. A 45 minute car 
ride (well worth it) can get you to either of two wonderful sandy beaches (Reid or Popham State 
Parks).

Vacation Rental Rates

Aummer rate is $1450 per week;
Spring rate is $1090 per week;
Fall rate is $1160 per week.  

We rent from Saturday 3pm to Saturday 10am.  We require a fully refundable security deposit of 
$300.  Maine requires 7% sales tax. Deposit is half the rent. Sheets and towels can be arranged for a 
$25-$65 fee. Blankets and pillows are provided. Cleaning can be arranged for a fee. Shorter than one 
week stays may be possible in spring or fall.  Off season rental by the month may be possible. No 
credit cards.
