Cozy 2 bedroom & loft, 2 bath condo centrally located in the
town of Mammoth Lakes, right on the shuttle route. The unit is
located in the Sherwin Villas complex.  Everything you need is provided for you such as a fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable environment to relax in!

We offer a winter special - stay 4 nights, the 5th night is free.

The condo sleeps up to 8 people. The master bedroom has a king size
bed. The upstairs bedroom has a double bed and a twin bed, and the
loft has a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and a twin on top.
The unit includes a fully equipped kitchen, 2 cable TVs, 2 DVD, wireless internet access and a wood burning stove.

Just had a great three day/ two night trip to Mammoth. Accomodations were good for our group. Condo is located directly across the street from Grumpy's so no worries about drinking and driving and don't have to freeze waiting for the bus. Owner was very quick in responding to emails and was great in resolving the one issue that came up. Parking is close to this unit and jacuzzi is also just a short walk to get to. This isn't a five star resort and you're not paying for one. Perfect for those of us that want to get as much skiing/boarding in as possible without paying a fortune. Will recommend.

I've stayed in this condo every year from 2005 through 2010 and have my 2011 trip already reserved. My friends and I love this place! It's clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for our crew of 6-8 people each year. It's conveniently located caddy-corner from Vons where we do our shopping and walking distance from several different style restaurants right down our street. (Sometimes our goal of the trip is to not set foot in a car for our entire stay - and we pull it off easily.) It's also the end of the loop of the free shuttle to Mammoth so there's always plenty of seats available when it arrives - the ride is like five minutes and you start your day from Eagle Lodge - the least crowded Lodge, plenty of beginner and intermediate (family style) runs - but also instant access to chair 9 for a variety of double blacks, chutes, and plenty of trees! After a full day on Mammoth Mountain and a short free ride back to the condo we always head straight to the two 12 man hot tubs and sauna - most often we have them to ourselves, sometimes there's a few others from other units - but there's always plenty of space, very friendly people, and a nourishing atmosphere. The kitchen is plenty big to cook for and feed our whole crew - unless we opt out and walk to a restaurant (Roberto's is our favorite). The wood burning stove provides the best heat and ambiance for our vacation - the built in space heaters allow for personalized heat in the bedrooms and there's plenty of clean and comfortable linens to layer up. There's plenty of seating on the couches and the recliner if we watch dvds rented from down the street; we play cards at the large kitchen table; and now we use wifi from anywhere in the condo. Basically we arrive, all our needs are met, and we relax and pamper ourselves (when we're not skiing/boarding). The description and photos are accurate, the place is well maintained and clean, the owner and/or property management have always answered any questions right away, I already recommend this place to everyone I know who considers Mammoth.

Everything you need, and nothing you don't

I stayed in this unit with my 22-year old son son and a couple of his friends the first week in January 2011. The place has that "just right" vacation cabin atmosphere - a bit rustic, but well maintained and totally comfortable.

Plenty of wood on the balcony for the stove, and the small electric heaters in each room allow everyone to find their own comfort zone for snoozing. Beds, showers, etc were clean & comfy. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need to whip up some vittles for the gang, and there's a large table for group meals. The couch is fine, but I recommend grabbing the awesome easy chair and not budging for the night. You need to be a little nimble getting up and down to the loft, however, on something that's about halfway between a staircase and a ladder.

Location on major bus routes makes it easy to get anyplace in town, and you're cross-corners from the Minaret shopping center with grocery, restaurants, movies and services. Even though this second-floor unit overlooks Old Mammoth Road, there's no appreciable traffic noise. The church bells across the street might wake you up starting at 7:00 am, though. Other than that, it was a quiet, friendly complex.

Another plus was the great communication from the owner. He responded promptly to my e-mails, let me know that my payments had arrived, and provided excellent detailed instructions about how to access the place. Plus, I think his rates are very reasonable for what you get.

So go ahead and book this place. You can have complete confidence that you'll get everything this guy promises.
