The Adams - Morgan area has been called by many residents of
Washington, D.C. as the “Greenwich Village” of D.C. The apartment
currently advertised is a professionally decorated, one bedroom, one
bath unit located in the heart of Adams-Morgan, walking distance to
all of the great ethnic restaurants and hot, hot nightlife that the
area has become famous for. Also conveniently located are a Safeway
grocery store, Starbucks Coffee, FedEx-Kinkos, Blockbuster, a post
office, and several dry cleaners just one block away. Coming in April
is a new Harris Teeter grocery store that will bring upscale shopping
just a stone’s throw away at the corner of 17th Street and Kalorama Road.
The unit is equipped with washer/dryer, a fully functional and newly
remodeled kitchen to include: refrigerator, garbage disposal,
dishwasher, oven/range, and plenty of cabinet space with ‘eat-in’
counter space and bar stools that opens to the living area. Ceilings
are 10' tall with recessed lighting and three, large bay windows
provide for ample natural light. Both the living and bedroom areas are
all hardwood flooring with colorful, plush area rugs; brilliant white,
ceramic tile is used in both the kitchen and bathroom. Guest entry is
controlled within the apartment by a telephone access system.
An energy efficient heat pump (central air unit) with digital
thermostat provides comfort year-around in the unit. Utilities are NOT
part of rent and will be deducted from security deposit at end of term
by monthly invoices/usage; however, the building and apartment is very
energy efficient and your bills will strictly be based on your
personal level of comfort.
The apartment is completely furnished with linens, pillows, towels,
full set of all utensils and cooking items to include a microwave,
toaster, pots, pans, glasses, flatware, etc. . . . it’s all there!
You need only bring your toothbrush and clothes! The kitchen has
eat-in counter space with bar stools and opens to the living area with
a leather sofa, Queen Anne writing desk, chair, Oriental rug, When at
home you can relax with state-of-the-art entertainment while viewing a
newly installed 22” Sharp Aquas HDTV with surround sound home
entertainment system. The bedroom has a very comfy and firm full-size,
but extra thick Sealy mattress with a sleigh bed frame, a Colonial
highboy chest of drawers and there is adequate closet space to store
your things; bathroom recently remodeled with granite vanity and great
water pressure.
No pets are allowed. For insurance purposes smoking is not permitted
inside the building.
The building has no dedicated parking; however, street parking is
available on a first come-first serve basis. If you choose to bring
your vehicle into the neighborhood you will need to bring a copy of
your lease, proof of insurance and your vehicle’s registration to D.C.
DMV (300 C Street, NW) to apply for a Zoned Parking Sticker. Most
tenants choose not to bother with cars because of the efficiency of
D.C.’s public transportation system. Parking is attainable, but if you
come home on a weekend evening past 7pm . . . good luck! Suburbanites
from all over the Metro area flock here and park wherever possible to
take advantage of what is Adams Morgan.
The completely furnished 1-bedroom, 1-bath unit is being offered at
$1,000/week or $3,300/month + utilities (all electric, no gas,
landlord pays water and trash service). Direct TV with Premium Channels
to include (6) HBOs, (11) Starz and Encore channels . . . AND . . . DSL

The closest servicing Metro Rail is Adams Morgan/Woodley Park Station
(red line), and is an approximately 12 to 15 minute walk. You can also
access the green and yellow metro rail lines from the Columbia Heights
Station within the same distance. Metro Bus service is also available
from Colombia Road, 18th Street and on 16th Street, which completes
