Located on a an 80 acre estate at the end of a long, winding very private
driveway with breathtaking elevated views of Ryder Cove, East
Penobscot Bay and the Camden Hills, this cozy retreat was built in
1989. It is a clean, fully equipped light and airy, year-round home with a
spectacular and totally private setting.
Situated on 7 acres with 440 ft totally private beach frontage, this property
was subdivided and built by the owners of the enormous Drexel Estate
which is now owned by world famous celebrities.
Islesboro, known for its beautiful estates, and boating is located
near the very popular Camden, Maine. A year round automobile ferry
making nine 15 minute trips a day until 5 pm and stays at the island at night.
There are two general stores, a
sandwich/ice cream/gift shop,a bookshop, antique shops and beautiful
churches.The island has a 2500 ft. paved airstrip with air charter
service. Plus, there is a commercial airport 15 miles south in Owlshead
The Penobscot Bay Medical Center is 12
miles away in Rockport and the island has a health clinic.
The house has 3 bedrooms (all fairly new beds) that sleeps 9-10 and
has 1½ baths and outdoor hot shower on side deck.
1. Master bedroom has 2 beds (1 queen,1 full Temperpedic adjustable),
... private balcony with panoramic views of cove and ocean.
2. The second bedroom has king bed & one twin & a/c.
3. The 3rd bedroom has a king bed and a twin bed.
4. New Daybed with trundle and hi-end mattresses in downstairs den.
5. The living room has 3 sets of French doors that open onto the
....expansive deck, a huge 70" TV, DVD/Video machine, dual satelite
dish...receivers, an Air conditioner (which is seldom used) large
English.. stained glass windows, table/chairs,leather couches
and recliners.
6. The den also has French doors to the deck, a TV and
many..windows, new daybed, full refrig, leather recliner.

a dishwasher, disposal,and microwave, etc.
2) Wraparound deck has hot water outdoor shower, large teak table w 8
chairs & umbrella & additional deck/lounge chairs, gas grill,

3) New 2006: high- speed spin washer and dryer, and daybed
4) 2nd full refridg.
5) Portacrib, highchair, tricycle, air hockey game, toys,doll house,
baby jogger, huge DVD library for kids & adults.
6) 2 KAYAKS 12 ft long, regulation horseshoe pitts, 4 bikes
2 junior bikes, all hardwood floors, oriental rugs, free
long-distance telephone for mainland USA,Canada,& Hawaii.
7) Privacy, tranquility, back to nature in upscale setting.
This idyllic setting is perfect for -- privacy, -- long walks,
boating bicycling, entertaining, and swimming and very important:
No mosquitoes or ticks on property; but other areas of island have them.
Sailing lessons, tennis and basketball courts, playground are five
minutes away. New Community Center has breakfast & Lunch & great FITNESS CENTER.
Lobsters just down the street or have lobsters delivered and cook them in lobster pot. No smoking on our property and well behaved Pets only.
Islesboro has many cultural events in season.Also there is a farmers' market
once a week

The island is known for its casual idyllic, no tourists atmosphere,
famous beautiful estates, boating & recreation. Penobscot Bay is
considered one of the finest cruising areas in the world.
Sail on one of the many sloops run by few hours, full day or overnight.
Enjoy our kayaks, bikes, air hockey, dvd library, books. Observe
sloops,seals, bald eagles,deer.
There is a full range of shopping and fabulous restaurants in the
Camden/Rockland area as well as cultural organizations such as the
Farnsworth Museum with its WYETH BUILDING.
There is the Owls Head Transportation Museum with its
vintage automobile and vintage AIRPLANE SHOWS, live and movie
theaters, opera, the Maine Coast Artists, sailing on
schooners,windjammers.
