Vacation Rental Description

Enjoy the full New England summer waterfront experience. Updated 
direct waterfront on beautiful, protected, Scituate Harbor. Fantastic 
ocean and harbor views with sunsets. The home is on Cedar Point, 
surrounded on both sides by the harbor and ocean. Gentle breezes cross 
the harbor and keep the home bug-free and cool. Scituate is a quaint 
New England coastal town less than an hour south of Boston by car, 
commuter boat or the new train service to downtown Boston. This 
year-round home has decks up and down with nearly 200 degree waterviews. 
Stairs direct to the water. Three large bedrooms and loft have 
incredible waterviews, with a deck off the master bedroom overlooking 
the harbor and ocean. Steps to historic Scituate lighthouse and two 
sand beaches. Gas fireplace in living area. Master suite has a queen 
bed and private bath, two more large bedrooms with twin beds in each, 
and a large loft on the 3rd level with two beds. Three full, modern 
bathrooms. First floor sleeper sofa. Accommodates up to 8.

Activities and Attractions

Scituate village, a ten-minute walk from the home, is full of shops, 
restaurants, fishing boats, and a movie theater. The town has a public 
golf course.  The train to Boston (fifty minutes) is a five-minute 
drive, and a commuter boat to Boston is 20 minutes away. Cape Cod is 
an hour drive to the south. There is a small family-friendly 
harborside sand beach 100 yards away, and a larger oceanfront sand 
beach within a five-minute walk. If you are a walker, biker or a 
runner, there are miles of waterfront roads in the immediate area. For 
us, a ten-minute walk around Cedar Point is just right.  The historic 
Scituate 
lighthouse is a short walk away. Scituate is one of a string of 
historic colonial villages along Boston's South Shore. They are lovely, 
but off the tourist path. Chances are however, like us, you will 
rarely leave the house, for the views are just unbelievable and the 
sunsets over the harbor are spectacular.

Vacation Rental Rates

At this time, we are renting weekly in August and September, and then 
monthly through the winter. Rates are $3,000 per week August and the 
first week of September, $2,000 
per week for last three weeks of September, and $2000 per month for 
October through May 
2009.  No smoking, no pets. $500 Security Deposit. $100 Cleaning fee. 
Check-in is on Saturday at 3 PM, check-out the following Saturday by 
11 AM.
