Vacation Rental Description

Welcome to Beautiful Lake Norman!

We are sure you will love this home set on almost an 1 acre 
of beautiful lawn with georgious panaramic views of 435 feet of 
shorline on Lake Norman. 
 
This home provides privacy yet has a water view over looking the 
private dock.  This home also includes deep water access and a 
floating boat dock. 

This house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs. The living and 
kitchen are a spacious combination that overflow onto the top 
balcony.  The downstairs offers a gameroom, a full bath and a 2nd 
kitchen. The walkout basement offers a great area entertaining with 
the family.  
    
For enjoying meal times together the dining area is open to the 
kitchen and has a dining table for 6 people.  The bar area offer 
extra seating if needed.  

Fully equipped kitchen has contemporary cabinets with beautiful 
solid counter tops overlooking the living area and the beautiful 
views of the lake.

Situated at one end of the house the master suitewith its own 
private bath.  The two additional bedrooms share a bath.

Outside, the lawn provides a great area for family entertaining.  
The covered patios, both upper leval and lower offer a great place 
for relaxing and enjoying the views while watching the kids play in 
the yard.  The patio is equipped with a Gas Grill, table and 
chairs.  If you want to spend the evening beside the lake there is 
lots of space for everyone down at the dock.  We've even provided 
folding chairs and a cooler for ice cold refreshments!

The house sleeps 6-8 (max 6 adults) in 3 bedrooms. 2 extra children 
can be accomodated easily in the spacious downstairs on a inflatable 
mattress.

For your convenience and comfort, all bed linen and towels are 
provided and the house has a large laundry with washer and dryer. 

We request no smoking inside the house, ashtrays are provided for 
outside though! Please don't leave cigerettes butts on the grounds!

We sincerely hope you decide to come and stay at our house to make 
your vacation at the lake that little more special and hope that you 
will want to come and visit us time and time again.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Water based activities

At 34 miles long with 500 miles of shoreline Lake Norman is the   
largest lake in North Carolina.  Activities available include 
boating, sailing, water skiing, swimming and fishing.

Boat rentals and public boat access ramps are available at several 
locations within 20 minutes drive. We can provide deatils for boat 
hire. Many will deliver or bring your own boat, launch it at one of 
the public boat ramps and move it to your dock at the house for your 
pleasure. 

Activities and Attractions

Lake Norman State Park (15 mins) has 150 feet of sandy beach with a 
roped off swimming area.  Row boats, paddle boats and canoe hire are 
available as well as picnic tables and grills.

Fishing licenses can be purchased on-line or from any Wal-Mart store 
(nearest 10 mins).

Lowes YMCA (15 mins) is a newly built YMCA with indoor swimming and 
sport facilities.

The US National Whitewater Centre  (35 mins). Just to the west of 
Charlotte on the Catawba river this fantastic brand new outdoor 
centre is the training facility for USA Canoe and Kayak and the US 
Olympic team. Featuring the worlds largest recirclating artificial  
multi channel whitewater river which can be programmed to provide 
different levels of activity it also has biking, hiking and running 
trails and 2 climbing walls. Plenty of room to sit and spectate (has 
a restaurant overlooking the rapids) or take a guided tour of the 
rapids but be prepared to get wet!
 
 Especially for the kids

You can't keep Paramount Carowinds (45 mins) a secret from the kids 
for long in North Carolina! The 105 acrea park has more than 50 
world class rides, shows and attractions and also a water park.  
Ride the Borg if you dare!

The Lazy 5 ranch (25 mins) has 700 animals from all over the World.  
Take the 3 and a half mile safari in your own car or on horse drawn 
carts.  Feed the animals as you go but be sure to watch out for the 
cow with the big horns (I'm sure he won't mind us saying that!) who 
greets you as you enter!  Excellent fun.

Queens Landing (15 mins) has 2 mini golf courses, bumper boats plus 
Steam paddle boat dinner cruises on lake Norman .Also live open air 
music and dancing during the summer months

  Auto racing

Mooresville has the nick- name of Race City . Visit the Auto racing 
Hall of Fame (5 mins) and numerous racing shops including the famous 
Dale Earnheardt Inc.

Around 40 minutes away in Concord you'll find  Lowes Motor Speedway -
a huge stadium which seats 150,000 spectators for NASCAR racing 
events. Race weeks feature 3-4 times yearly or the Summer Shoot out 
Season on Weekday evenings during the summer is great value fun for 
all the family!

The Nascar Speedpark is a racing themed fun park in Concord Mills 
Shopping Mall (30 mins) with 8 Go Karting tracks, mini golf, bumper 
boats and Laser Tag. Let the girls shop while the boys bond!

  Golf 

Golfers will love the area. Mild winters mean that you can play 
during 10-11 months of the year!  There are more than 40 golf 
courses 
within a 2 hour drive of Mooresville including Pinehurst National.
