This is truely a paradise at the water's edge. So close to the water that you will feel you are staying on a ferry as the cottage is built right on the beach with bulk heads on three sides. Situated right on Beach Dr E in the city of Port Orchard, you are only 5 minutes from the hustle and bustle of downtown. The major shipping centers are only a short drive away. Yet entering the gate to the beach house you are guaranteed to experience the unparalelled peaceful tranquility that is normally associated with camping in the deep woods. With the Olympic mountains in the background you will have an unfiltered view of the entire Sinclair Inlet and a front row view of all marine activities in the deep waters of the channel. The Seattle-Bremerton ferry hurries by right in front of the house every hour, you may even catch a front row view of the USS aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln when it comes in for service. With sea gulls hovering and diving to catch their prey in the water in competition with the wild geese or ducks closer to shore, you can hear the sea lions talking steps away from the kitchen.
Master bedroom downstairs, 2 bedrooms upstairs, one full bath with soaking deep tub down and a bathroom with a shower upstairs. This house has forced air heating, wood burning fireplace, fully furnished kitchen, and a portable barbecue grill for outdoor use. If you do not feel like cooking yourself, a variety of restaraunts and take out eateries are just a short drive away from Chinese buffet to Spiro's Italian food, from Japanese teriyaki to sandwiches from Quizno's or Subway. There are several docks and marinas close by and there is deep water mooring buoy right in front of the house. There are also RV parking pads with water, sewer and power hook up right alongside the house. $25 per night per hook up.
All sorts of water activites such as boating, kayaking, jet ski's, fishing, walk the State Park at Manchester (10 minutes), visit the Olympic Peninsular (hours drive), fish on the Hood Canal (30 minutes), hiking or camping in closeby national forests. Or you can just sit on the reclined sofa in the living room to dose off on an afternoon reading, or basking in the sun on the back deck to be wowed by the panaroma of the scenic sunset.
