vacation rental description

This roomy 2,200 sq. ft. house built 2002 is on a narrow part of
Santa Rosa Island, in Navarre Beach. The walk to the beach on the
Gulf of Mexico is about 200 yards, across a two-lane road. The walk
to the beach on Santa Rosa Sound is only about 150 yards; it borders
the neighborhood.
When you enter the house you will feel that you have come home to
your own beach cottage. Used only half the year as a rental and the
rest as a residence, it has owner-level furnishings and décor.
You’ll see granite countertops in the roomy and well-equipped
kitchen, Noritake china, Thomasville furniture, linen, appliances,
electronics and many other amenities throughout the house that are
unusual in rental property.
The Gulf-side beach has been replenished by a multi-million dollar
project and is as wide and beautiful as it has ever been, which is
spectacular. The snowy-white sand and turquoise-emerald water are
world-famous.
Views of the Gulf or the Sound are available from every room in the
house and the three decks/porches. In the house, you may
particularly appreciate the master bedroom that is over 17 by 18
feet and has a large walk-in closet. The master bath has double
sinks and Jacuzzi tub/shower. Being on the third floor you’ll enjoy
the porch’s view of the rest of the Village and boating traffic on
the Sound.
The other bedrooms are on the second level of the house, and have a
queen in one and full-sized bed in the other. The full bath on that
floor is between them.
All levels of the house have nine-foot ceilings.
The double garage has one side that is particularly deep, enough for
two cars on one side and one on the other. Electronic openers are
provided.
This is a small-pet-friendly, low-allergenic house with porcelain
tile and hardwoods throughout.
The magic of this place is that it’s quiet and separated from the
mainland, but close enough to whatever shopping, dining, and
entertainment that you would desire.

Best Vacation Ever!

Big Kev (Boardman, Ohio)
Review submitted: May 1, 2012   Date of arrival: April 8, 2012

This was our third stay at the Holroyd Beach House, and even though the first two were fantastic, this time between the home, weather, fishing and the atmosphere that is Navarre Beach, this was our best vacation we ever had!.

Terri and Bob's beach house gives you everything you are looking for in a vacation home. Sitting in-between the Gulf and the Santa Rosa Sound, you have your choice of a spectacular view from the two front porches looking at the Sound, to the back porch with a view of the Gulf. From your morning cup of coffee to your favorite beverage at night, both sites are priceless.

My family and I love to fish. You can start off your day by going down to the boat slip and have a choice of what type of fish are biting that day. We were able to catch a variety of fish from Croakers to Catfish to Sunfish. Also, almost everyday day that we were there, we would see a school of dolphins playing about 50-75 yards away. If you are looking to catch that "Big One " go down to the Navarre Beach Fishing Pier. There Cobias, Kings and sometimes a Shark a reeled in. If you want to see what size fish are being caught, go to www.navarrepier.com.

Finally, what draws us back every year is the atmosphere the island offers its residents and guests. We have always been amazed at how friendly everyone is and if you ever needed anything, someone is there to help.

We live in Ohio and this year we decided to drive. 15 hours each way may seem like a long time, but, we knew once we arrived in Navarre Beach and stay at one of the favorite vacation homes, it wasn't a bad drive after all. We will be back in 2013 and stay at the Holroyd Home. Thanks Terri!

Spring Break 2012

Ret Marine Family (Wylie Texas)
Review submitted: March 30, 2012   Date of arrival: March 10, 2012

I was recommended to a friend who had stayed at this property for a family vacation. We do not take many trips so we wanted to do something special this year, and the Holroyd house was the perfect destination for us all! I was a little nervous with it being spring break, however Navarre is the best location. We were able to get to Pensacola Beach or Destin to see friends and still enjoy the peace and quiet of the area. I have grown children and they were equally if not more than excited about this experience. The Holroyd house felt like a home away from home with the amenities and kept in exceptional care. I would recommend this property and have already done so. The owner was very helpful with answering any questions and called to make sure our stay was going well.

Great beach house!

The Taylor Family1 (Wheaton, IL)
Review submitted: December 9, 2011   Date of arrival: November 21, 2011

This was our second stay at the Holroyd beach house and we hope it is not the last! It is a very well-maintined house with all of the comforts of home. The walk to the beach is very short and the balconies are very relaxing. Love the full kitchen with lots of pots and pans. Very enjoyable!
