Garden apartment in lovely park-like Riverdale in Bronx

This lovely, 2-bedroom "au pair" apartment is located in our single
family home in the upscale, peaceful Riverdale neighborhood in the
Bronx. Riverdale borders Manhattan and Westchester County and has
more trees per square mile than any other section of New York City.
The apartment has a private entrance off of our back garden (which
you are free to share with our family and dog). Ample on- and off-street parking exists.
The master bedroom has a comfortable queen-sized bed and an
enormous closet. The second bedroom has a single-sized daybed with
a second trundle bed beneath. In addition, the living room sofa
pulls out into another queen-sized bed.

The apartment is fully furnished and is equipped with all
necessities -- linen, towels, dishes, pots/pans, small appliances
(including a hairdryer), microwave, satellite TV and DVD player. An iron
and ironing board are available upon request. Washer and dryer are
available for multiple week rentals only.

NO SMOKING ALLOWED (indoors or outside).  Please note that we adhere to quiet hours between 9pm and 7am during the work week (which includes Sunday night), and 11pm and 10am on weekends.

Located approximately 55 minutes by bus/subway to Times Square, or
20 minutes by car, all Manhattan activities are readily available
(theater, museums, jazz clubs, shopping, sight-seeing, etc.). In
addition, the New York Botanical Gardens, the Bronx Zoo and Yankee
Stadium are close by in the Bronx. You're also ideally situated for
day trips upstate to such destinations as West Point, Hyde Park,
Sleepy Hollow/Tarrytown, and the Woodbury Commons Outlet Center.

A $200 security deposit is required to reserve the apartment, which
is refundable after your stay if no damage is found in the
apartment. The $200 deposit will not be refunded should you cancel
your reservation prior to two weeks before arrival.  The $200 deposit will also not be refunded if you reduce the number of nights of your reservation within one month of your stay.
Rates are payable in cash, money orders, Travelers cheques, bank
cheques or via PayPal* and are due in full two weeks before arrival. No credit cards are accepted. All payments must be made in US dollars only.  Should you cancel your stay within two weeks of your arrival, your rental payment will not be refunded, but we will return your $200 security deposit to you.
A $50 cleaning fee will be applied to rentals lasting less than one week.

*Paypal transaction fees will be added to the rental rate

Please note that check-in time is after 4PM on the day of arrival.  Check-out time is 10AM on the day of departure.
