Island Haven at Ocean Walk in St Simon's Island

Our unit is ideal for children and adults, alike!  It is a quiet unit in the back of the complex.  The balcony faces the lake and tennis courts and has a view of the back pool.  The master suite has a queen-size bed and a private full bathroom.  Additional guests have a standard double bed in the second, and twin beds in the third bedroom (all linens provided).
The unit is recently remodeled and redecorated with new furnishings. We also have just had installed new oak pergo flooring.  There are two TVs with cable and DVD player. The kitchen is very well equipped with a microwave, full size stove/oven, toaster, diswasher, garbage disposal, coffee maker, pots and pans and many dishes. So you would not need to go out for any meals, but then you would miss the offerings of the many fabulous restaurants on the island.  Dining guides are provided in the unit along with information about activities and entertainment nearby.  There also is a washer and dryer in the unit.

Ocean Walk is one of the best equipped complexes on the island. A few short steps out our condo door are the tennis courts (rackets provided). There are two pools available (one heated year round) within the complex. (beach towels, pool and beach toys also provided).  There is a gorgeous stocked pond in the center of the complex with a fountain, where the kids can fish or feed the ducks that call it "home". You can work out in the clubhouse fitness center with weights, lifecycle, treadmill, etc. The clubhouse also has a computer, fax machine, and copier for guests, or you can use your own laptop with the complex's WiFi.   And should you have a rainy day there are games, cards and books for your relaxation. We have a great location towards the back where it is peaceful if you are just needing a rest. All the comforts of home and then some.  Please check out Reviews for comments from previous guests.

St Simons Island has now been rated #3 of the 10 best American Islands to vacation on.  (do search on America's 10 best islands).  So come and see why.  We are just a short walk from the pier, village, and beach. There the children can play at Neptune park as you watch the dolphins play. At the pier you can crab, fish,or watch the ships coming and going, see gorgeious sunsets and meet some of the friendly people in town.  You can also walk the beach if the tide is out.  There are two other beach access areas within 1-2 miles of our condo.The island has a new water park near the lighthouse and a new playground area for the young ones to enjoy.  There is so much to do on the island or nearby. Just a few points of interest on the island include the location of the Battle of Bloody Marsh, Saint Simons Lighthouse, Fort Fredrica and Christ Church.  There is fishing, snorkeling/diving, kayaking, horseback riding, bicycling, dolphin tours, ghost tours, and the trolley sightseeing tour. There is a playhouse and the cinema, windsurfing, parasailing, jet skiing, regular and miniature golf and the list could go on.There are also many great areas to explore nearby... Jekyll Island,  Amelia Island and Fernandina beach, Savannah, Cumberland Island and Sapelo Island, St Augustine, and the Okefenokee Swamp.  The list goes on.  Information is provided in the condo.

And remember to leave with sand in your shoe, for legend says that then you will surely return.
