Lovely, peaceful cottage and guesthouse on Levenseller Pond 15
minutes from Camden.

Our property has two buildings on it. The cottage has two bedrooms
(one very large, the other a large loft), a full bath, living room
that opens on to a nice deck, a full kitchen, a great dock that
extends into the pond and a garage.

The guesthouse has a loft bedroom, small kitchen, full bath and cozy
living room. Together the two buildings sleep 6-10 comfortably.
Both buildings have lake views.

Levenseller Pond is 35 acres and power boating is not permitted. It
is perfect for swimming, canoeing and fishing. Levenseller Pond is
about 15 minutes inland from Camden, between Linconville
and Searsmont.

The property is on a quiet, dead-end, private road with only a few
other homes. Renters have use of kayaks, paddleboat, row boat, and
several bicycles.

Swimming, boating and fishing from 200 feet of frontage on the
property. Biking and hiking are great in this locale. There is
always something happening in Camden, Rockport or Rockland, which
are nearby and easily accessible.

vacation rental rates

$1,350 per week June; $1,400 per week July through August (plus 8.5%
Maine rental tax).  All rentals are Saturday through Saturday.

50% deposit at time of reservation; balance plus security deposit due prior to arrival. Pets may be permitted with extra deposit. Longer term / off season rentals possible on negotiated basis. We may also consider renting the cottage and guesthouse separately, so please inquire.

Quite Lake View Minutes from Camden

This season will be my third time staying at this house and we are all looking forward to another fun and relaxing week. The house is tucked away in the mountains down a quiet road minutes from downtown Camden and Camden State Forest. The house has a very country and cozy feel without sacrificing the comforts of a modern home. Whether you are sitting at the kitchen table, grilling on the deck, lounging in the living room, or laying in bed you have spectacular views of the mountains behind the lake. The pond has offers, swimming, fishing, and boating and the water was very clear and clean.

Last year we visited near by Camden for antique shopping, chartered boating trips and ocean/mountain dining. We also visited Camden State forest where we could hike and view the surrounding islands and ocean from the mountain tops. Whether you are taking the whole family along for the trip of leaving them at home you will not be disappointed.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, people with disabilities, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway

The cottage and guesthouse sit on the edge of Levenseller Pond, a small lake really, disturbed only by the occasional ripple from a passing canoe or the cry of a loon. The Adirondack chairs at the end of the dock are perfect for morning coffee and evening wine. We swam in the clear waters, kayaked and paddled the nooks and crannies of the lake, counted the hummingbirds and enjoyed every moment of time we spent in this idyllic setting. This property is fully equipped, including a lobster pot, many board games and even a great selection of old National Geographics for rainy day reading! Camden is 15 minutes away with many excellent restaurants, galleries, shops and grocery stores. Rockland, the lobster capital of the world, is 30 minutes away. Home of the Farnsworth Museum and nearby Owls Head Transportation Museum, this eclectic seaside town is diverse and interesting. Lighthouses, beaches and islands are all nearby and of course the magnificent coast of Maine is constant. Our time is always too short at The Pond. Memories of the sun rising over Levenseller Mountain, quiet country roads and this wonderful cottage and guesthouse invite us back again and again. The owners are great to work with and knowledgeable about the area. The property description is accurate, even a bit modest. We have always found everything required to be comfortable and content.
