fully equipped home has a beautifully styled modern kitchen with

The views of the valley below and the surrounding mountains from the

coffee in the morn), or upstairs on the balcony overlooking the
beautiful valley for which our home view was specifically built,
they were built for "the view".... At night stargaze the Milky Way
from horizon to horizon (astronomer's dream!) or just relax in front

background from the entertainment center or just catch up on one of
our library's many DVD/VCR movies.
Two (2) large master bedrooms with new twin beds (extra long); new bunk beds in the large spacious loft, and a
queen sofa sleeper downstairs allows the house to sleep up to eight
(8) with ease. Large walk-in closets, marbled walk-in showers,
antique bathroom fixtures and ceiling fans throughout will make your
stay extra comfortable.
An extra large two (2) truck garage houses the tankless water
heater, washer & dryer, and connects to main house by a mudroom.
Total living, excluding garage & mudroom, is 1,750+ sq. ft.
Additional pictures of inside (or outside views) are avilable upon
request by email (there isn't enough ad space to show everything
you'll have available in the house!)

Great time at the Glade Ranch

jm (Hastings, mi)
Review submitted: July 25, 2011   Date of arrival: July 10, 2011

My family of 5 (kids 17,13,9)had a great time! We had a lot good family time. Very quiet and relaxing. We made day trips to Telluride, Silverton (my favorite little town), Arches, Mesa Verde.

You feel very close to Nature at the ranch, yet the house gives you all the comforts most of us still want.

My daughter and I hiked over to the “hill” before Thomas mountain. It was a longer and more difficult hike than it looked, but we made it nearly to the top.

Great memories were made!

Recommended for: sight seeing, romantic getaway

Owners response: The mountains and the solitude of the Glade seem to offer something different everyday, whether it be animal life, scenic mountain views, or the night sky where the Milkyway sparkles from one horizon across the sky to the other. The quietness of nature is really noticeable....

Remote location, Unexpected amenities

FunNSun (Tucson,AZ,USA)
Review submitted: July 12, 2011   Date of arrival: July 2, 2011

My family rented this house for a week to get away from it all. It is away from it all. The home is beautifully maintained. There is only 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is a loft area with a bunk bed. The kitchen is fully equipped for anyone who really likes to cook. The views are of Mountains, Mesas and Grassy Valleys We had wonderful ATV rides to scenic locations within a 30 mile radius. McPhee Reservoir(20 mi),Ground Hog Reservoir(30 mi). I love to run and the hilly terrain and altitude were great for conditioning. We BBQ'd and cooked great meals. I loved the big windows that looked out to the views. The hummingbirds and many chipmunks were very entertaining.

The owner was great. He communicated quickly and answered additional questions about the surrounding area. He really wanted to make sure we had an enjoyable stay.

We went to Durango 1 1/2 hr drive and White Water Rafted the Animas River for 4hrs.(Mild 2 Wild Rafting Company). Great Fun! Dinner was at Mamma's Boy Italian - Excellent
We spent 4th of July in Cortez. The fireworks were great! We ate at Koko's(Kokopelei). The food was OK but the service was friendly and fast.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway

Owners response: There are many things to do and places to see in SW Colorado from the ranch. One really has to prioritize when considering Mesa Verde, Arches Nat'l Park, Telluride/Durango, Silverton, the lakes and more....but because of the views and the solitutude of the mountains from the ranch, along with the wildlife not available near a town, staying on the ranch can be very relaxing taking in the quietness of nature and no street noise.
