Vacation Rental Description

Pacific Whispers Units can accommodate between one and four people in 
one queen, and two single beds. An extra divan bed or roll-away can be 
supplied if you have an extra person. 
 
At Pacific Whispers we have everything from beach towels to wine 
glasses. A quiet, pleasant, less than 2minute stroll along a Melaleuca 
lined path brings you to our beautiful Yorkeys Knob Beach. 
Generally in Cairns and Tropical North Queensland there are 2 seasons. 
During High season (April - October) usually temperatures range from 
17/18 degrees celsius overnight up to 26/27 during the days. In the 
Low season (Nov – March) the temperatures are between 23/24 up to 
34/35 degrees celsius. 
 
There are many car rental companies in Cairns. Most of the major ones 
(Avis, Budget, Hertz, Thrifty) are represented at the airport. 
 
IGA supermarket which carries just about everything is located a short 
5 minute walk from the apartment. This store offers a grocery delivery 
service for a small fee. 
 
There is also an ATM machine located inside the supermarket. 
A small liquor outlet is conveniently situated next door to the 
supermarket. This outlet carries a good range of beers, wines (white & 
red), champagnes and spirits. 
 

Vacation Rental Amenities

Fully self contained, recently renovated. Full modern kitchen. 
Separate laundry with washing machine and drier. Very clean, well 
equipped and tastefully appointed budget units.

Activities and Attractions

Pacific Whispers Units are located a mere one and a half minute walk 
through a Melaluca tree lined path from the golden sands of Yorkeys 
Knob Beach. 
 
Yorkeys Knob Beach is widely regarded as one of the best beaches in 
Tropical North Queensland. Over 1 mile of soft clean sand. Fabulous 
for those romantic walks or an energetic morning jog. The beach which 
is secluded and untouched with an abundance of bird and plant life is 
embraced at the southern end by a quiet tranquil tidal river. 
 
The northern end is a little livelier, with a café, small 
shop/newsagent, playground, barbeques and a seasonal swimming 
enclosure which is patrolled by a lifeguard.      
 
Wine and dine at one of the BYO/Licenced restaurants located nearby. 
The Yorkeys Knob Boat Club & Marina offers not only dining but various 
sailing and diving trips to the Great Barrier Reef. 
 
The Half Moon Bay golf Course, just 3 minutes drive from the units, is 
sure to be a great holiday pastime for those golfing enthusiasts. 
Other nearby attractions include Skyrail, a Golf driving range, and Go 
Kart track. If you are into more active sports, why not try Kite 
surfing off the beach? (Lessons are available by arrangement) 

Vacation Rental Rates

Rates are $A139 per night for 1-5 guests during the high season (Apr 
to Oct), or $A119 per night during the low season (Nov to Mar).
