We are offering an 865sf renovated Bungalow style single family
home in the South Berkeley
area. We are on Idaho Street @ Alcatraz. We are a cozy spot to hang
your hat in fun & funky
Berkeley, California!

Please note that this is a non smoking rental & no pets are allowed.

This is a single family home that was originally built in 1924 and we
have tried to maintain its
original charm while allowing for all modern conveniences. We
renovated the house in 2007 from top
to bottom. This home now features a brand new fully equipped kitchen
with stainless steel
appliances, granite counter tops, double door fridge, dishwasher,
microwave, gas stove, wine fridge,
kitchen nook (no formal dining room)and your own private compact
washer and dryer. There is a slider
that leads from the kitchen nook out onto a large South facing deck that wraps
around half the house and gets full sun all day long.  The deck has large sun chairs for lounging, a childs picnic table for eating or drawing and a new propane 2 burner BBQ for tasty cook-outs!

The house is tastefully decorated. There is a bedroom toward the back
of the house with a full sized
bed that can sleep 2, night stand and a relaxing zen vibe to it. The
master bedroom is a large room
toward the front of the house and features a queen sized bed that can
sleep 2. The master bedroom
also features a wood burning fire place, walk in closet, cozy reading
chair, television with digital
cable & DVD player as well as three light filled windows, which makes
this a bright sunny room.

There is also a crib available that sleeps 1 infant up to 50 lbs as
well as a highchair available
upon request. There is an additional one time charge of $10.00 per
item. The entire house sleeps up to 6 persons-4 adults & 2 children.  The two bedrooms can accommodate up to 4 adults and for more than 4 we provide a good quality inflatable bed for a one time fee of $75.00 mandatory.  The bed is placed in the master bedroom or back bedroom depending on your preference and that is why I say the house is suited for 4 adults & 2 children max.
The living room is cozy and comfortable with a soft & cushy bronze &
burnt orange sofa, coffe table,
throw for snuggling around the coffee table to play a few family
games, watch a movie on cable or
pop in a DVD.

We provide all linens, plush cozy towels for bathing, and brand new
forced air heating system to
insure your comfort no matter what the temperature is outside.

We provide all utensils, pots, pans, cookware, coffee mugs, drinking
glasses, kettle, toaster and a
coffee maker for all you coffee lovers out there.

All utilities are included, we also provide digital cable with Encore
and On Demand free movies,
free WIFI, as well as free local & nationwide long distance.

We are a short 9 blocks walk to Ashby Bart Station, a seven minute
car ride to the University of
California Berkeley Campus as well as a quick 20 minute ride to
downtown San Francisco for some
shopping or nightlife! There is not much to walk to in this primarily
residential neighborhood and
we recommend renting a car. The house has a private driveway that
will fit 1 car & there is also
plenty of off street parking available. This is not a congested area.

South Berkeley. Please note
that this a child friendly, no pet, NON SMOKING rental.

We offer free Wifi, Digital Cable, free local calling & nationwide
long distance,
there is a microwave in the kitchen over the stove, there is a wine
refrigerator & purified water &
ice from the double door, stainless steel refrigerator. All linens
are included, bedding, towels,
dish towels, all utencils, pots, pans, we have an iron & ironing
board for your convenience..all
utilities are also included, pg&e, water, trash etc..We have a large
deck off of the kitchen with
anti gravity sun chairs to catch some rays as well as a shaded
seating area down in the yard under
the trees.

In the Berkeley area there are many activities, just blocks away we
have a wonderful rock climbing
gym called Berkeley Ironworks, there is the Ashby Fleamarket located
on Ashby & MLK (9 blocks away),
there is Telegraph Avenue for shopping at vintage clothing stores and
experiencing the local
culture, Ceasar Chavez Park in the Berkeley Marina to bring your
child, dog or special someone to
frolick on the grassy knolls or just contemplate the ocean. Berkeley
is a wonderful place to bike,
hike, stroll, people watch and visit. There are many, many dining
experiences to be had in Berkeley
and I list quite a few in my welcome book. Come to Berkeley and
experiene our unique style!!

All prices below are based on party of 4 persons or less-more than 4 pay up charge of $65.00 for extra bed.

Regular rates based from today to November 22, 2009:

$132.00 per night, $890.00 per week

THANKSGIVING 11/23/09-11/30/09:

$140.00 per night, $960.00 per week

Regular rates: 12/1/09-12/20/09:

$130.00 per  night, $890.00 per week

CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR 2010 12/22/09-1/4/2010:

$140.00 per night, $960.00 per week.

MONTHLY RENTALS ~ 28 NIGHTS OR MORE:

monthly rentals $3550.00 per month flat fee with the cleaning and loding tax included.  The only additional cost is the fully refundable security deposit of $300.00.

for all regular stays:

Non refundable cleaning fee of $65.00, $300.00 fully refundable
security deposit, refunded within 3
days of vacating provided there are no breakages or shortages.

Crib & Highchair available upon request for a charge of $10.00 each
or $15.00 both both. Please let
us know if you will need either one of these items.
