Vacation Rental Description

Come and enjoy a house which was not decorated as a rental, but as my own personal home. Great  
thought has been put into making this a restful and relaxing home away from home so your vacation in  
Santa Barbara will be a memorable one. 
My home has hardwood floors throughout and is decorated beautifully and tastefully with watercolors  
and tapestries of high quality. The kitchen with gorgeous mountain and professionally landscaped  
garden views was remodeled recently and includes top of the line appliances, granite counter tops  
and island, custom cabinetry,tumbled marble floors, custom made toile tuscan window treatments, a  
restful luxurious window seat, television and seating around the island for quick snacks or dining.  
All the cooking utensils and pots and pans including a slow cooker,a Cuisanart coffee maker and a  
pound of either Starbucks or Pete's excellent coffee beans plus grinder, serving platters, dishes  
and cutlery for eight place settings are included in addition to table cloths, place mats and cloth  
napkins. There is a complete supply of all the spices and basic cooking ingredients available and  
the kitchen can be fully stocked with your personal grocery list prior to your arrival for a small  
extra charge. 
The lovely dining room with antique dining table seats four easily, six with 'closeness', and the  
patio table just outside the dining room seats six to eight comfortably. 
My living room is restful, elegant but family friendly with comfortable seating,beautiful garden and  
mountain views, a fireplace, bookshelves with wide range of reading materials and board games,  
television with dvd player, a cd player and a small collection of cds and dvds for your enjoyment. 
The bedrooms have extremely comfortable pillow top mattresses and luxurious high thread count  
linens, as well as plenty of soft comfortable towels, televisons with dvd players and a stereo  
system. The bathrooms are well stocked with large bottles of shampoo instead of the little bottles  
in hotels which never do the job, conditioners, bath salts etc. to help you relax in comfort. There  
is a separate bath and shower in each bathroom with comfortable robes to lounge in as you have your  
morning coffee. 
My place is pet friendly, however, I request you treat your pet with a topical flea control  
treatment one week before arrival. 
The gardens surrounding my place have been professionally landscaped and contain Mediterranean  
flowers and shrubs which are beautiful all year round but particularly so in summer. The patio is  
surrounded by aromatic star jasmine and orange blossoms; geraniums, roses, camellias, lavender,  
rosemary and orchids, all for your use and enjoyment. 
Children's items, such as a crib and high chair provided upon request.

Activities and Attractions

You can walk to grocery stores such as Gelson's or Trader Joes, shop at Macys, Pottery Barn, Talbots  
or Vons, or get a massage at the wonderful spa, Qui Si Bella, all of which are within walking  
distance or ten minute drive.  
You can eat at excellent restaurants nearby, browse in our locally owned bookstore, Chaucers, and  
mail your postcards at the post office in the shopping center within walking distance.  
If you want to browse in the lovely stores downtown you can be there in fifteen minutes from here.    
You are only ½ mile to the Santa Barbara Mission and the Natural History Museum and the local Art  
Museum. 
The municipal Santa Barbara golf course is only five minutes away and the two closest beaches,  
Hendry's beach where you can walk your dog, or the downtown beach area, are just a fifteen minute  
drive from here.  
Since we are centrally located between two colleges, UCSB and City College, you can take advantage  
of the variety of events taking place there. 
I have put a good deal of thought into making my place comfortable, enjoyable and relaxing as well  
as affordable. I look forward to having you here and assisting you to have a relaxing and enjoyable  
stay.

Vacation Rental Rates

Season Rates:     Low Season:  $175 per night Sun-Thurs; $200 Fri-Sat 
                  High Season: $200 per night Sun-Thurs; $240 Fri-Sat  
Seasonal Weekly:  Low Season:  $1050;   High Season: $1200 
Seasonal Monthly: Low Season:  $3900;   High Season: $4500 
Security Deposits: Two night minimum stay: first night's rent due within three days of booking. 
Weekly Stay: Half the total rent due within 3 days of booking. The rest due at check in. 
Monthly Stay: Half the total rent due 5-7 days of booking. The rest due 30 days before check in. 
Other Fees:  $100 cleaning fee; $50 pet deposit refunded if no extra cleaning is necessary. 
Refund Policy: 48 hour cancellation notification for daily and weekly rentals, and two week  
notification for  
monthly renters or  
deposit is forfeited. Emergency situations will be honored. 
Note: Multi-month discounts possible and long term renters very welcome.
