vacation rental description
Picturesque waterfront cottage with stunning views of the Neuse River!! Rock or swing on the wrap-around porch and watch the dolphins come up the river to play in the morning and head back down at dusk. Relax on the pier as you fish for croaker, flounder and more—or, tie a crabtrap to the piling and have fresh crab for dinner, unless you prefer grilling steaks on the gas grill. Take a dip in the pool, or relax on the riverfront in an Adirondack chair as you watch the boats go by. The private beach is a perfect place to swim, sunbathe, kayak—or just relax in the hammock.
Whatever you choose, you are sure to enjoy the slow pace and peaceful atmosphere at China Grove Plantation. For variety, bike or jog to Oriental, the “Sailing Capital of North Carolina,” or visit Coastal Living’s “10th Anniversary Idea House,” located at near-by River Dunes.
Cala Lily cottage at China Grove Plantation sleeps 4-5 and features a separate guesthouse that can accommodate 2 more. Beautiful ocean-toned furnishings create an atmosphere so tranquil you will
never want to leave. Ceiling fans in every room, separately zoned central air and heating systems, and a gas fireplace keep guests comfortable year-round. The vaulted cathedral ceiling in the great room, which opens to the kitchen, allows everyone to visit as meals are prepared, while listening to their
favorite background music on the Bose surround-sound system. The kitchen boasts new appliances and lots of amenities.
The upper level bedroom features a king bed, as well as a very large window seat perfect for curling up with a book—or for the night. The mainfloor bedroom (queen bed), with its private bath suite, includes a shower and separate soaking tub. The separate guesthouse is set up for entertaining, with a game table, TV/DVD, stereo system and small refrigerator. The guesthouse sofa, with large cushy pillows, converts to a comfortable queen-sized bed for guests who want a private spot steps away from the main cottage.
