Vacation Rental Description

Brand new Key West style cottage directly on rim canal, overlooking  
dock that accommodates 25' boat (bring your own or rent).  Family  
room and master bedroom on first floor open through french doors to  
large back porch overlooking canal.  Vaulted ceilings in dining and  
living areas.  Loft and bedroom upstairs with second bathroom. 
 
Completely furnished, all appliances including washer/dryer, all  
linens, small appliances, cooking utensils, etc., including hair  
dryers and umbrellas.  All new furnishings, complemented with 50's  
maple dining and lodge chairs.  Large screen TV in living rooom;  
smaller set in Family room.  Two leather recliners in Family room.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Relaxation -- you'll awake to birds diving for their breakfast in  
the canal and fish jumping.  Have your coffee on the back porch and  
see if you can spot the a manatee!    
 
Do a little fishing from the dock (fishing polls are part of the  
furnishings).  Call a local guide and go bass fishing on the Lake or  
Kissimmee River. 
 
Head out to explore the countryside.   There are no traffic jams!

Activities and Attractions

Okeechobee offers a laid back lifestyle with a focus on Bass fishing  
and boating on the lake and Kissimmee River.  From morning through  
night, you can watch the fish jumping and birds preening along the  
rim canal, and even see a manatee or two.  A great getaway.   
Okeechobee has several weekend festivals and scheduled rodeo's.  If  
you want more excitement you are only 1 to 1-1/2 hours from Orlando  
attractions (Disney, Universal), West Palm Beach (zoo and drive-thru  
wildlife park), beaches at Vero Beach, Ft. Pierce, Stuart/Palm City,  
HobeSound/Jupiter.  There are many wildlife refuges to visit in the  
area, good antiquing around Arcadia, and even a Seminole Casino  
about 30 minutes around the lake by car.  If you're lucky, you'll be  
around for the scheduled rodeos.

Vacation Rental Rates

Minimum rental three months (may be multi family) is $2,500 per  
month; Four or more months rental, $2,000 per month (also for summer  
months). 
 
Refuncable security deposit of $1,000.  Separate refundable security  
deposit of $500 for pets. 
 
Rent includes basic TV (renter can upgrade to pay channels),  
internet access, local phone, water, sewer, and electric.
