great location, nice pool area

This home is a wonderful place to stay during your vacation. It is a very short walk to the beach and to several restaurants and stores. There is a Kilwin's Ice Cream store and a frozen yogurt shop! There is a pier where you can fish and a nice restaurant right on the beach called Aruba's. There is a nail salon where you can get a manicure and a pedicure with no appointment. The house itself is very nice inside! There is everything you might need in the kitchen. We spent a lot of time by the pool and spa area. There is a covered area with 2 ceiling fans, 6 very comfortable seats and a gas grill. The pool is big enough to play around in and the spa heats up nicely. BE SURE YOU GET INSTRUCTIONS on how to use the spa and turn on the water fountains in the pool. Also, we never could figure out how to turn on the pool light. The remote control for the spa did not work and we were lucky enough to run into the pool service and they showed us how to go over to the side of the house to manually turn knobs to get the spa to go on and the fountains to work.It was a bit inconvenient to do this and we would have never been able to do it without help. There is also a separate switch over there for the heater for the spa. BUT..the area was awesome for cookouts. If it hadn't been for the problems operating the spa, fountains, and pool light, I would have given this house a 5 star rating. I would stay there again! I highly recommend it!!!!!

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

Clean town-home, family friendly!

We stayed here three nights with my adult children on their spring break for a family getaway. This town-home is very clean (as a RN, I often give places the "sniff" test and this place passed!), decorated nicely, well equipped kitchen for any vacation cooking needs and very comfortable beds! This two story town-home has a huge master suite and bathroom with a lovely garden jacuzzi tub plus a shower. The other two bedrooms down the hallway, share a bathroom. There is a grocery store, shops, local eateries, ice cream shop and several nice restaurants all within walking distance. There is a tiny park very close with a nice walking path, tennis courts and some playground equipment. The beach is a easy 3 block walk. The beach is lovely, but does not have any public restrooms close-by.

The home has a lovely, small outdoor patio with a pool and jacuzzi. This area is completely enclosed and very quiet. The only complaints were that the pool area could have used a good sweeping and the furniture needed to be wiped down. The pool could have looked cleaner, but I was assured it was cleaned weekly. There was few leaves and some debris at the bottom. The jacuzzi did not heat up and although we called the contact person who promptly sent her husband, it continued to remain cold. Our winter here in Florida has been very cold, so I am unsure if the jacuzzi heater just couldn't get the water warm enough, or if there was really a problem. The only other complaint is there were no trash cans in the bathrooms.

We received a very prompt response for our security deposit.

I would recommend this lovely home for a nice getaway. The town of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is nice, quiet and definitely a place I would return to someday!
