Vacation Rental Description

Cristobal and its surrounding mountains.  Finished in smooth golden 
tones, rustic pine, local clay tile, river rock and stone, this home 
invites light and nature indoors and boasts a true earthiness.  

Downstairs: Spacious grand room (living and dining) with stone 
fireplace and terrace with views; queen futon in living room for 
additional sleeping; modern, fully-equipped kitchen with all new 
appliances; half-bath.  

Upstairs: Master bedroom with private terrace and mountain views; 
guest room with twin beds/king; large full bathroom.

Onsite management: Housekeeping as required by guests; drinking 
water and firewood provided; wireless internet;  connection to 
local resources.

Set into a peaceful hillside off the road, the house is only a 15-
minute walk or an 18 peso (about $2 USD) taxi fare to San Cristobal’s
town centre.  
The property is equipped with designated parking and a lockable gate 
for security.

Activities and Attractions

San Cristobal is a charming colonial town rich in Mayan culture and 
local history.  The town's many churches display several styles of 
colonial architecture and breathtaking statues and artwork. 
Surrounded by Mayan villages and ruins, the town is only a day trip 
away from places such as San Juan Chamula, Zinacantan, Palenque, 
Tonina, El Chiflon, Agua Azul, Misol Ha waterfalls, the Cañon del 
Sumidero and the primitive Lacandon Jungle.  Local craft, jewelry 
and textiles can be found in abundance in the many shops downtown 
and at the famous market of the Santo Domingo church.  Restaurants 
offering local and international cuisine are plentiful, and high 
quality as well as economy can be found.
