Vacation Rental Description

Why is this home called "Fat Chance?"  Well, when the one of the
owners first saw Yonahlossee she was asked by her husband if she would
like to ever have a home in Yonahlossee.  She replied, "Fat Chance." 
The rest is history!  

Fat Chance is located within Yonahlossee Resort, a private gated
community located just minutes from Blowing Rock in the heart of the
Blue Ridge Mountains.  Yonahlossee, situated on over 300 acres is
bordered by Moses Cone Memorial Park on three sides.  Over the years,
Yonhalossee has become known for its natural undisturbed setting, its
beautiful homes, and its award winning amenities.  Guests of the
Resort enjoy six outdoor clay tennis courts, three indoor tennis
courts, a 25-yard indoor swimming pool, two fitness centers, and fine
dining at the four-star Gamekeeper Restaurant.

  
Let this professionally decorated, freshly-painted two bedroom, two
bath townhome with new furniture, linens, accessories,
stove,dishwasher and microwave be your mountain getaway for a weekend,
week, or longer. Gently nestled into the side of a hill, this duplex
home offers utter privacy, peace, and quiet for your visit to the
Blowing Rock/Boone area.

The Great Room with generous and comfortable seating boasts a vaulted
ceiling, stone fireplace with gas-burning logs, and a bay window in
the dining area. A triple glass wall opens on to the screened porch
with skylight.

The Master Bedroom with king bed, located on the main floor, has full
en suite bath and sliding glass doors that access the screened porch.

The Guest Bedroom, also on the main floor, has a king bed which can be
converted into two twin beds if desired. The Guest Bedroom is located
directly across the hall from a full bath and, for privacy, can be
shut off from the Great Room.

The Loft, reached by a traditional stairway, can be enjoyed as an
additional living area for watching TV, reading, or playing games. The
queen size sleeper sofa provides a third sleeping area.

For those guests who must keep up with business and have brought their
laptops, high speed Internet connection and wireless Internet service
is available in the loft.

Guests of Fat Chance are welcome to enjoy all of the amenities of
Yonahlossee Resort and Club including 
a 25-yard indoor swimming pool, two fitness centers, sauna, three
indoor Deco-Turf tennis courts, six outdoor clay tennis courts, two
full-time tennis pros, and a fully equipped Pro Shop.  Use of the
pool, fitness centers, and sauna are complimentary.  Minimal fees are
charged for use of the tennis courts and for tennis instruction. 
Gourmet diners will delight in the fare offered by the onsite and
four-star Gamekeeper Restaurant.

Activities and Attractions

Fat Chance is located just minutes from the Village of Blowing Rock
home to wonderful boutiques, parks, 
fabulous restaurants, and numerous cultural activities including the
Robert Hayes Center for the Performing Arts and the Blowing Rock Stage
Company.  The Blue Ride Parkway with its miles of hiking trails,
fishing lakes, picnic areass, and scenic vistas is just 2.5 miles
away.  Nearby local attractions include Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather
Mountain, the Blowing Rock, Linville Falls, Linville Caverns,
Appalachian State University, public and private golf courses, and
four ski resorts.

Vacation Rental Rates

Rates for Fat Chance are seasonal and do include a departure cleaning.
 This fully equipped Windemere  Townhome is available for nightly,
weekly, or monthly rentals.  Well-behaved pets are welcome with a
non-refundable pet fee of $150 per stay.  Nightly rates range from
$277-$477.  Rates are reduced for stays of three or more days.  Weekly
rates are equal to six times the average daily rate.  Monthly rates
are determined by the season and on an individual basis.
