Accessible Oceanfront Beach Cottage- Hale Ehu Kai in Hilo

Oceanfront Hale Ehu Kai (Sea Spray House) allows you to enjoy Hawaii
at its best!! The view as you come in the front door is like you are
on a boat, without the rocking. It is centrally located between the
resident turtles (Humphrey, Hilda, and baby Hubert), dolphins, whales,
cruise ships, and other wild life in your front yard and the wonders
of East Hawaii in your back yard. Kapoho warm pond and Champagne
Pond, Lava Trees State Park, and some of the newest beaches in the
world are within a few miles. Volcanoes National Park and Hilo are
30-45 minutes away. Spectacular waterfalls and scenery of the Kohala
Coast and Waipio Valley are beyond Hilo.

It is truly a place where you can choose the pace of your vacation!
You can relax and enjoy the ocean from the spa, on the huge 12'x40'
deck, or in the house or you can explore the Big Island by driving,
bicycling, or hiking. Nearby, funky Pahoa Town has outstanding and
varied restaurants and shops. Snorkeling and surfing are nearby, but
not at the house.

It is wheelchair accessible so everyone can enjoy it's magnificent
setting, with a ramp, lever-type door and bathroom handles, wide pocket doors,
roll-in shower with fixed and hand held shower heads and grab bars. It is also a non-smoking house.  We have completely outfitted Hale Ehu Kai so that you will feel like you are coming home to paradise! Marlene has included everything you
could ever need in the kitchen (as more than one visitor has said, "if
you can't find it--just look harder").
