Christmas Valley Family Wilderness Retreat in South Lake Tahoe

This beautiful and immaculate 1,650 sq. ft. cabin-style home with
two-car garage is located in the "Christmas Valley" area of South
Lake Tahoe. The Great Room has vaulted knotty pine ceilings &
skylights and is beautifully decorated in a woodsy theme. The home
backs up to a forest preserve and is surrounded by the Sierra
mountains from every view. Unobstructed forest & mountain view with
private access to hiking, snow-shoeing and cross-country skiing
trails right out the back door! Escape the tourists - here's your
own piece of paradise in the quiet wilderness of Christmas Valley!
Master bedroom features a comfortable king bed, private bath with
double-size shower and overlooks the forest preserve and deck - wake
up in the beauty of the wilderness but enjoy the warmth of indoors
as you take in the view!
Second bedroom provides a queen log-style bed and beautiful decor
with bay window.
Third bedroom has twin day bed with second twin trundle underneath
to roll out if needed. This bedroom is larger than queen room and
is equipped with TV/VCR and a gliding rocker. Perfect room for kids
to escape for games and their own shows.
Brand new queen sleeper sofa in living room sleeps 2. Extra
sleeping available on fold-out foam beds.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 share a hall bathroom featuring full tub/shower
enclosure.
Deluxe kitchen is fully equipped with every tool a chef could need!
Pots, pans, casseroles, baking pans, etc. are available. You will
find bread-machine, crockpot, dutch skillet, coffee maker, toaster,
mixer, etc. as well. Enjoy meal prep, buffet, or extra seating at
the large tiled kitchen island. Gas stove, electric oven,
dishwasher, garbage disposal are all part of this spacious kitchen
area. Beautiful dishes are plentiful in the cupboards. Dining
table seats six; Counter seats 3 on barstools. Separate laundry
room off kitchen.
Large living area provides beautiful woodsy decor, comfortable
couches and recliner, large screen TV, basic cable, CD and DVD
player as well as a collection of DVDs, video tapes and music for
those interested. Computer with internet access is available.
Electric wood stove creates that warm glow in the winter months. In
summer, enjoy large deck with beautiful view of forest, gas grill,
large picnic table and patio furniture.
House-trained, well-behaved adult dogs are welcome in our home. Dogs
ADORE hiking in our forest preseve and frolicking in our snow.
Christmas Valley is a dog-friendly community. Certain rules apply.

In winter, you will find a winter wonderland right out the back
door! Cross country skiing, sledding, snow-shoeing are available
without even getting in the car! No tourists... quiet part of
forest as only Christmas Valley locals know about this private piece
of paradise. Down hill ski slopes are closeby (Sierra at Tahoe is 8
miles away and Heavenly just a few minutes further in the other
direction).
In summer, enjoy bicycling, hiking, fishing and lake activities.
Sit on deck and just drink in the beauty and solitude of nature
without obstruction of view. Take romantic or family hikes that are
virtually private since our trails are not known to many and never
see tourist traffic.
Christmas Valley is approx. 20 minute drive from beautiful Lake
Tahoe and Echo Lake is only about 10 min. away. Casinos are near
the lake, about 20 minutes from our home.

Deposits and Restrictions

$300 refundable security deposit; $200 Pet Deposit if applicable
$140 cleaning fee per visit
Excessive cleaning or damages would result in further charges from
security deposit.

Notations
---------
*30-days notice required for cancellations.
*Christmas Valley is peaceful, quiet neighborhood; no loud parties
are allowed out of respect to our neighbors.
*Deposit returned upon receipt once keys/garage door opener is
returned by mail.
*Guests are advised not to park on street during winter months due
to snow removal equipment. Three cars will easily park on
the property - 2 inside garage - 1 in driveway during snow season.
*Guests are advised that the Sierra mountains are "Bear
Territory" and agree to follow house rules with regard to
avoiding bear break-ins.
